PC box first practice grow

Fans are good to have, I would have the fan pulling air out from the top. That's where your heat build up will happen. It'll get hotter in there the bigger your plants get as well. It'd be good to get them installed into the set-up now while the plants aren't in your way and such as well.
 
Hello, you should have got rid of the metal part on the top right for some more room. I think you should put the fan wherever you can fit it because they NEED some fresh air blowing through them constantly. You will be lucky to get one of them to grow inside because of limited space so i would suggest to F.I.M. or top it. also you should do some l.s.t. so it can fit. And if you have chicken wire or some type of metal wire small enough to not let the branches to fit through, you can put on top of them once they get too tall.
 
Word going to be looking into some fans now. Maybe I'll install the exhaust fan to filter outside the box. And put a fan from the top blowing down.

And I am planning on using LST method. Short and fat is what I'm going for. :p
 
yes that's what i would do is lst because it don't harm the plant much at all and it is good for keeping your girls nice and small for a pc case. i really want to do a pc grow but don't have a case to start yet, or good seeds.

You should exhaust from the top to remove the hot spent air and bring fresh air in from the bottom.....and the filter part would be for odor control correct?
 
Well I wanted to try the DIY Carbon Filter from Walmart method, but can't seem to find the right walmart mesh cups. Need to figure out another makeshift carbon filter.


EDIT: Actually just found a perfect method I'm going to use. Here.
 
Need a filter sadly where I am living now, but I'd like to make a legit stealth grow box so that I could pass down to someone when I move up and start big. Which will be soon. :)
 
Nodoubt i too had that problem once when i lived in an app. they did regular inspections but i would just take all my stuff down and hide it in totes until the plants got to big so i just moved em to a friends house who had knowledge on growing ......i feel for ya man and hope you can figure out a good technique for the filter construction WHEN ya do plz post info so i can learn for future reference

haha yah, just smoked some nice jack herer x pre 98 bubba, I almost feel like this bud wasn't cured properly but it's smokable, it smells like beer. Dank beer. Quite amazing. I have Critical Jack herer Autofem seeds from Deliciousseeds, they hooked me up. I also have Cotton Candy seeds from them. 6 in total. 3 of each. My prized seeds. Gotta get my perfect set up before I sprout em. ;)

WICKED i quit smoking until i can get a job and then ima start back,,ive not got the chance to smoke good genetics all that much.. around where im from people only get nasty NONcured bud and dont even know much about any of it let alone how to cure or to grow *sigh* im one in a few who has any education on higher grade marijuana .....and I hope you get to grow them seeds and they turn out excellent they sound like good strains
 
I feels you, but that's why we got great forums like this. Where we can all kinda come together and say what ever we want about our beloved ganja. :P
 
Yea...I couldnt agree more....ive been looking at alot of grow journals on this site and it has helped me tremendoulsy with my growing knowledge and just tonight i started posting on here and plan on doing so on a regular basis now
 
Ok, PC GROW BOX dude, I am in the same boat as you except I have 17" case, and bag seed from bubba.
OK, to add more light take a brown extension cord and two sockets and black tape them on the end of the cord and add bulbs.
Move to the front of case.
For fan get PC fan and DC Power supply and black tape connections first and test which way is intake and outtake.

For reflectivity Wal Mart reflective windshield cover and glue gun works wonders.
Hopefully you have earth magnets on your light with power strip and sockets as that will make it move easily and safely (no reflective on back)

Hope I helped. Ask away as I built my box for $60 and its 150 cfl watts and is crusing along.
I reccommend Auto Mary for this size box, and a 2.5 Liter size food saver dish for soil.

So far the only survivor is the skunk. I've been looking into some more lights to combine with my CFLs, and my friend had been doing a ton of research on using plasma. So I may be going for this. Seems legit! Also I might germinate 1 Cotton Candy or Jack herer autofem. Don't have anymore seeds, and only 1 seed survived (Skunk) but no clue if male or female.

Yea that light looks pretty good,,,,,but the site lied about it being equivalent to HID 150watt becasue they put out way more than 3900 lumens,,,,but other than that it seems like it would be an excellent light because of it not being a light that puts out alot of heat and it using low wattage for the lumens it puts out i'd buy one if i could afford it and the plant looks good n healthy,,and if you did start the autos they wouldnt finish in the pc box because they will get too tall ur buddy would have to finish them
