Because it's better than not being able to do it at all.

You really don't get this incrementalism thing, do you?

Your obedience training is showing. Just because it was deemed verboten by master didn't mean growing couldn't and wasn't being done. The idea that permission from government is needed is absurd. That's what legal weed is now, permission based. It's subservient.

The form "legalization" is taking these days is a step in the wrong direction, since it reinforces the idea that rights, are actually privileges granted by an authority. It inverts the meaning of what a right really is.

If legal bullshit must be used, it should simply be decriminalized COMPLETELY and reparations should be paid to victims by the perpetrators. Cops, judges, prosecutors and legislators etc. committed real crimes. They are thugs and real criminals hiding behind statutory legal cover. They deserve to be held accountable, scorned, tarred and feathered, urinated on, and fucked up the ass by a troop of gorillas with extraordinarily large genitalia.

Creating a whole scheme where on Tuesday if you have 3 plants, it's illegal, but crossing some imaginary line onto another plantation "allows" serfs to have 6 plants etc. is an example of how government is still clinging to the idea that they own you and you are just their property. Fuck that.

Present forms of "legalization" amount to better treatment of the slaves, but they don't END the slavery entirely. Ending the slavery completely should be the goal, not a less abusive master.

You really don't get his freedom thing do you?

Now this we can agree. Still say pay tax for social services..and laws to stop you from just "freely peeing" in a clean water source.

This seems like a nonpartisan issue, in so far as it being something that both progressives and conservatives can get behind. Although conservatives oppose drug legalization, the fiscal impact is nothing but positive for the state, so I wonder what they care about more on an individual level; saving/making money by legalizing cannabis by eliminating the funds that go along with criminalization, like putting people in jail and arresting people with a little bit of weed, and nearly all progressives support legalization.. Seems like it would be a win/win

Joe Manchin is pretending to be a Democrat while voting with Trump more consistently than any other Democrat in congress. Paula Jean is an actual liberal progressive who doesn't accept corporate campaign contributions and who will actually represent the voters of West Virginia
All that had to be done was realize how to leverage the financial potential and now you have John Boehner doing what..?

So if a person has "permission" to grow a little bit of marijuana, as long as they give some money to the same organization which threatens to steal their house, shoot their dog and lock them up for years, everything is okay?

How is that any kind of a victory for freedom again?

They need cash to clear the lava..

Even when in a legal state all isn’t well..they can still make you not do it at all, starting with a knock on the door..

Which incremental feature/benefit is that?

Sadly we have little birds everywhere and the difference between legal with papers or illegal and rolling the dice are still one in the same.

However the masters seem to like paper. It shows true submission..once you have paper though it’s hard for bird watchers to completely get away with the shite they used to. That’s the upside. In reality they’re scared of paper because it documents..bird watchers don’t like documents.
