I just heard Dr. Dean Edell talking about drug testing, and a woman called into his show saying that she was an R.N. caseworker who had three cases within a year of elderly (>90yrs) people admitted to ER who tested positive for THC. Protonix (or similar) drugs turned out to be the culprits. He then went on the say that it's been demonstrated that certain combinations of cold and allergy medications can bring about false positives, especially given the quality of many tests. He talked about how many times hospitals and companies give the testing contracts to the lowest bidder, which does nothing to help accuracy and quality of testing. I was pleased to hear that he feels drug testing is wrong and unfair. His hair has always cracked me up.
