Party Cup Grow Off! (New and Improved w/ Prizes)

I am in the process of my first grow, but this contest seems fun so I am starting another two plants in red 16oz party cups with MG Potting Mix(.21, .07, .14). For nutes, I will water with a half a teaspoon of MG LiquaFeed(12,4,8) per gallon of water. I am going to alternate(depending on the weather) from inside to outside because I don't have a ton of light power. And obviously I will flower indoors.

A week or two before flowering starts, I am going to start adding a tablespoon of molasses per gallon of water along with the half teaspoon of LiquaFeed. I am going to continue this until it is two weeks till harvest, then I will flush with nothing but water.

Again, I have never finished a grow but I have been reading these forums for a while. So if I need something else for this grow feel free to chime in. I have a ton of pics but I am germinating my bagseed today. So I think I will hold them off till I have some green showing. :bigjoint:

I would love to enter the contest, but my party cups, of which I have 23, are going Outdoors. Won't make your deadline. I will send you pics of my partycup sitting next to the tree. :-) Subscribed

Also, I have made the executive decision to attempt a mixture of LST/CCOG/Topping. I plan on lst the plants into a ccog formation than letting them do their thing and grow towards the light, than I plan to top a few to see how that works. I read somewhere that all strains have a certain amount of growth possible. So instead of topping all of my new (tops? lol) I plan on topping a few on each side of the ccog formation. Wish me luck!!! Sorry, I got lazy and didn't want to capitalize anymore acronyms. :D

CCOG?
PS: does anyone know if using Mykos or Azos would be considered cheating? I want to try this contest perhaps, but all my soil is mixed up already

I don't remember the acronym spelled out, but it stands for low stressing your plant in a circle around your grow container. Instead of just pulling it to one point, you pull a point then you tie it to the next when the top grows up. Do that until it circles the cup in this case. This causes multiple tops and an easy way to make a sexy SCRoG setup. I also plan on topping a few of the tops of the circled plant. I hope I described that well enough? :) I also need to figure out how to prevent circling roots or I will never get the yield I am looking for.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I did not create this method. I found it elsewhere on the forum, but yes the person who thought it up is a mad genius! Mad +rep if it works! :)

Well, here is this crop circle you speak of.... can also be done with topped plants either pre or post circle.

Pic 2 shows the plant going through its life cycle getting its main stalk tied around the top of the bucket.

I do realize that these next pic`s are from training the plant by tieing the branch`s down instead of the whole plant, but it gives you a nice pic of the type of bud formation this type of training gives you. Just imagine all you can see are the buds and no stem and that what the CCOB looks like.

Thanks a ton for finding that pic! :) Hopefully we see this method used a lot in the competition!

I had to edit this because I didn't feel like having two posts. My amazing girlfriend just brought me my favorite coffee in the world. My hero! And I was just bending over whitey(a plant in my journal, not sure if its male or female) and it just absolutely reeked. Hope that's good sign, and even if it's a male, I really like the node formation and the stank so I might try for some seeds.

You could also do a FIMC

Bagseed FIMC.jpg
FIMC Test.jpg
FIMC 1.27.11 (2).jpg
Unfortunately i handled it a little rough and snapped off two of the 6 colas....
FIMC 3.20.11.jpg

Also interested in circular growing, my buddy used to call that a "crown of green" because it looked like a crown when in full flower....never tried it myself, never notice if he got more or less out of a party cup

Lookin crazy Chico, I have never seen tops with that color! I am going over to a buddies house that I helped start growing. He started a few months before I did because he had the money. I will snap a few pictures, and compare them to what I see here.

I also have a question, what would be the difference of air pruning pots and a clear pot?
