Participating in democracy

I've generally lived a pretty anarchist life, while interacting with the system and jumping through hoops (more than a circus lion) for pieces of paper and societal privilege.

I always vote for my mum in elections (she's never been a candidate) cos no pollie scumbag or party or attention whore has proven worthy of my support in my electorates.

However, I live under draconian drug legislation, but there are medical marijuana 'trials' running (what the fuck, read a medical journal for trials) and legislative assembly committees meeting about it at present.

An old high school class mate is on that committee.

Ive approached his office for a meet, anyone wanna give me some pointers on how to proceed.

My 5 yr goal is to:
-Establish a world leading medical research and ganja cultural/cultivational/educational/liberational institute on public/not for profit grounds with intellectual property rights and commercial interests divested in the interest of the common good
-acquire a state of the art biotechnological assay laboratory (one is lined up, surrounded by undeveloped prime agricultural land) and retrofit it for use as a Cannauniversity/Ganja ashram
-medicate and heal as many people as I can
-use entheogenic ethnobotanicals to scientifically inquire into the metaphysical analysis of reality and consciousness in a scientifically acceptable, peer reviewed, dogmatic, yet open way.

My current support materials include:
-MJA article supportive of full legalisation (attached, good read for perspective)
-Greens party policy statement on marijuana (http://www.actgreens.org.au/medicinal_cannabis_exactly_what_trials_are_needed)
-media article announcing the neighbouring state university (our oldest sandstone uni) has received $34 million for a marijuana research program (http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-06-...d-33m-to-medicinal-marijuana-research/6541666)

Can RIU contribute?

I could be at the cutting edge of our legalisation movement, and there are plenty of things happening overseas that I do not want to see here.

In my eye, MJ is like tomatoes and chills, grows the same, you can use it the same way too. Get educated and get your fucking guvmint mitts off my lovely Mari-Jhuana

Peace

When you get to the table to talk about your ideas and goals, try to steer away from the psychometaphysical stuff, in the eyes of an elected official you may come off as not serious. I like the non profit angle, I would suggest sitting down and really hammering out the numbers of the business, once you can quantify your profits, pick something in the community outside of MJ to devote them too. Nothing makes a politicians dick harder than free money.

A lot of our remote rural settlements are currently threatened with closure due to D&A + violence + child neglect. Permaculture ganja farming and a healthy attitude towards nature (respecting the indigenous owners a bit better too) with support from the TGAA could save those towns and communities.

Women's and children's shelters is a great place to float that extra cash. Also, if you talk about allowing politicians to get their names involved in the donations it can give them extra incentive. Not take the money to donate in their name, but each time you allocate money for the community you send a press release stating the funds were made possible by the policies put forth by (insert name here)

The only reason that belief succeeds is because it's perpetuated

Stop perpetuating that belief and it won't succeed
i got game, ima helluva player, but nobody ever managed to teach me the rules of the 'game'

but srsly, no more pro legalisation hints/things ppl wish were different in their legislature ???

Im heading off for a meeting with the local lefty (in power at the moment) health minister re: medical cannabis legislation that is before the parliament at present...

i need to tell him to fuck his 'compassionate use of marijuana for terminally ill and specified conditions' and say FREE THE GANJA

I now have a hitlist of dickfucks who are opposed to full legalisation in my jurisdiction

If i remove these two obstacles, the future will be here and now.

FREE THE GANJA :weed:
