Ah yes ... another intelligent post by Med o' Mao.

To the rest of you anti-Palin folks ... if she is no threat, then why are you continuing to focus on her? You won the election, be happy with that.

Indianaman had it right in post #18.

And again ... why is Sarah Palin such an all-out threat to you lefties?

Vi
She couldn't be any less threatening haha. I enjoy mocking how utterly fucking stupid she came off in her interviews and in the campaign overall. Given the success of the SNL skits it seems I am not alone. But what I enjoy most about Palin is she was actually chosen to be the VP candidate LOL! And the icing on the cake is this comes on the heels of retard monkey boy Bush that dumb ass republicans voted in 2x! Seriously Republicans must be scraping the bottom hard if Palin is the best the could do.

No that's not enough, I have been waiting for 8 painfully long years to gloat and Palin makes great fodder to that effect. Republicans didn't have a fucking chance with that bitch on the ticket and they knew it HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....losers!

I see, Bradley ...

And YOU would have been a better choice than Palin or Bush, eh?

Ever given a speech in front of 35,000 people, Bradley?

Ever had your country attacked with 3000 of your fellow citizens slaughterd right after you've been elected president, Bradley?

I'm sure with your righteous indignation, you would be the superior candidate.

In all fairness though ... McCain was a TERRIBLE choice for the Republicans to have made. And you have to admit, before McCain selected Palin as a running mate, he was dead in the water. As it turned out, and as a result of Palin being chosen as McCain's running mate, over 47,000,000 citizens voted against the jug-eared clodhopper and his rhetoric of "change" and voted instead for McCain.

I did not run for office, obviously, but if I were a presidential candidate for a major party it might occur to me to choose a running mate who has the capacity to speak in coherent sentences in the presence of Katie Couric. Failure to do so could reasonably be construed as a serious campaign fuck-up. And WTF about the slaughtered citizens patriotism litmus test? You are trying to bolster your weak-ass arguement that Palin was ok by distraction and implying I am unpatriotic because I didn't close ranks with Bush and abandon scrutiny of his choices post 9-11? Fuck that dude. I served on active duty for an extended period because of 9-11 so don't try that typical "conservative" (you were a republican until 3 months ago) bull-shit like calling democrats socialists etc. If a mother fucker in the oval office acts like a retarded monkey I am going to call his dumb-ass out on it and the feebs who voted him in.

Expain Caroline Kennedy? Here is a woman that has been coddled her whole life. She has traded on her name her whole life. She has absolutely done nothing her whole life. So much so, she can't even remember when the last time she fucking voted in an election! She sits on the boards of charities and the people who work there say they never see her. And what do we hear from the left? Not a fucking thing. Its nepotism when the Bush's do it, but when we have the lone surviving descendant of Jesus Christ the first, she's royalty and who are we to deny her? And with Sarah Palin? By all accounts, a fucking nobody. But what has she done with her life? Mayor, Governor, she was part of family business........And how many fucking times do we here from the left that they're "for the little people"? And they anoint a twit american rich princess a senate seat on the basis of her name, not on the merits of anything she's ever done. How could they? She doesn't even know.

I'll leave you with Camille Paglia

No, but Romney or Huckabee would have...you know...those guys with loads of experience and popularity who can speak in front of crowds and know about international relations.

McCain was a great choice for the Republicans. He's a moderate conservative, a decorated veteran, and a Senator with an assload of experience and knowledge. Now I'm definitely not saying Palin blew it for him, because no one really cares about VP. I place that burden squarely on McCain. He sold out his ideals and everything else that made him appealing to the center. He willingly became what voters hate: another Bush. Had he remained the same McCain from 2000, the Republicans would have won handedly.

Palin just added salt to the wound for Republicans. She became the infamous face that the Party will have a hard time distancing itself from. She embodies the stereotypical Republican (perhaps as unfairly portrayed by the media, but nonetheless stereotypical): an ignorant, cold, uncaring, unconcerned for the lower and middle classes, backwards moralist.

Now because of her and her continued involvement in politics across the country, it seems that the Republican Party is in ruins. That being said, however, they have a good year to get their house in order to make some Congressional gains. It's far from a sure thing though; quite a lot of damage control to do.

what if mc cain died man.... president pailin? that is the beginning of the apocalypse my friend.
haha definitely, but I really doubt that's what caused people to vote for Obama over McCain in such an overwhelming fashion.

Could you imagine that shit though? Truly scary...strangely named children and the inability to name legitimate newspapers as far as the eye can see. :-P

Nah, she just asked the town librarian if she minded a little book burning; see, that makes all the difference. She's just curious about things likes freedom and how to protect it.

From being used by anybody.

She should write one of those baby naming booklets you see in the supermarket checkout. Serious bank, $1.95 at a time. Trig is just scratching the surface!

Yep, nothing like a bunch of lemmings lapping up every lie the Main Stream Media puts out there.

The book burning charge was a lie.

And, if Obama dies in office, that leaves us with President Biden. Great!

Palin didn't lose the election, McCain did.
She may have helped him lose it because everyone saw right through her and saw her for the ditz she is.
McCain didn't appear to be competent in the debates and just repeated old stories on the Campaign trail and it made him appear to be senile to the majority of Americans.
They were a losing combination from the start.
Lemmings? No, what I see Vi is sour grapes from the Conservative side.
Just as the Conservatives claimed that the Liberals felt entitled to the white house and both houses of congress when they lost the whole ball of wax in 1994, the pendulum has swung the other way.

The timing is right for some human interest politicians, like I'm hoping Obama is. It is time to bring back the government to the people, for the people, of the people. The right sees the government as a roadblock to riches, unless it is offering them corporate welfare like Big Agra and Big Pharma and Big oil and "too big to fail" anything, but anything that might help workers, pure communism, stinking liberal commie fascist assholes. I don't know how they can equate communism and fascism, but they try. Anything that doesn't directly help them is communism. Like lower taxes on the rich, etc.

"I can see Russia from my house"
Wasilla, Alaska, is 1130 km from Russia.
How high above the Earth’s surface do you have to be to see a point 1130 km away along the Earth’s surface? If we start plugging numbers into my Distance To Horizon Calculator, we see that the answer is 101425.88 meters. You have to go 101 km (63 miles!) above Wasilla before you can see Russia. You can knock 104 meters off of that if you like to account for Wasilla’s elevation above sea level.
