pale clones due to humidity

some of my clones are losing color after i put a plastic zip-lock over the 16 oz cup, is this normal? it's been 2 days... i'm not a big fan of these "humidity domes" because in my experience they haven't made a difference

Any pics? Is it the new growth or the old growth thats looking pale?

For me I just feed clones water after rooting gel. The old growth always gets pale and dies because the clones start burning the nutes in the leafs to produce roots.

They dont look too bad for clones. The ones I just got looked worse than that and they are already huge.

How long have you had them, and where they fully rooted?
Were they sagging before you added the humidity dome?

The color really isnt too bad. The silver skunk clones I just got are lighter then that.

So they were drooping worse before the humidity domes?

It looks like they are just rooting and getting established. Did you remember to add drainage holes to your 16oz cups? It helps pull air into the soil.

i know xactly wut it is..im having the same problem with some of my seedlings..my guess is 2 things...

1.the ziplock is getting covered with the humdity dew,and it blocks out the light...one of my seedling,i did the same thing, put a ziplock n rubberband on em..it STRETECH..badly poke a hole in the ziplock to allow fresh air to get in there and clear it up.,.the humidty will stil b highh

2.TOO MUCH humdity..altho this is a wild guess...but im sure too much humidty like 198% can b bad 4 em...who kwos????

clones dont need a lot of light, if anything it's better that the water droplets are somehow slowing the light down or something, i think your second guess is better IMO

....humidity cant be higher than 100%, once the air is completely saturated it cant hold any more moisture. I would add a hole in the bag tho, thats a good tip.

Also are your clones rooted or are you trying to root them still??

trying to root
If they are trying to root then I would definitely keep the humidity domes on. Like the other dude said tho, I would make a little hole in each bag, the humidity will stay high in the bags but allow fresh air in and keep the Oxygen from building up in the bag.

trying to root
thats the problem..if the leaves are in an environemtn of low light...and 100% rh..they SATURATED..so they think its not nessecarryy to sprut roots..they sprot roots as a safe defense that if theyr drying out..they HAVE to make roots in order 2 live....the rh cant be too LOW tho cus theyll wilt n die......theyre s certain teknique wih clones....
