Ozone generators

I'm in flower & need some odor control. I'm using CO2 & air cooled hoods so I don't want to exhaust the air from inside the room and pull out my CO2. Also, room temps are not an issue so I don't need to vent for heat reduction. I simply need to control the odors that seep from my secret room hidden underneath the house.

Has anyone used an ozone generator? I have a small room 8x8x8 and I think the easiest, most cost effective way to control the odors would be using an ozone generator.

I am a smoker and have used a smaller ozone generator to air out my vehicle. I can take a stinky smokey vehicle and put an ozone generator in overnight for 12 hrs and cannot smell any odor.

Does anyone know of any adverse effects ozone generators may have on Cannabis?

i heard ozone is bad for the plants, and even worse for you when you go into the room. you would need to vent the room before you can go in.

How about you do a recirculating carbon filter?

Just have the carbon filter hooked up to a fan, with out having it exhaust out of the room.

or look into "negative air ionizers" supposedly they output negative ions, that attach to the smell, and then drag them to the ground in the form of dust.
problem with this, is u gotta sweep the floor, and some might end up on your plants. or something like that.
but look it up.

I think that would help.

Ozone in high concentration is bad for plants and people alike. But it takes a fairly high exposure to become detrimental, as ozone is simply O3. Never used it personally but most people that have quality units (properly sized and set up of course) seem to swear by them.

I use O3. The exhaust air is plumed into another space where it mixes with the ozone, then evacuated into the attic where it dissipates outdoors. It's not something to be used within a living/growing space. HTH

Ozone attaches it's self to odor molecules which makes them so heavy that the new molecule falls out of suspension in the air. There is a unit that is easy to use and install. The brand name is swordfish if you want to research further. They sell them as uv sterilizers but are they are one in the same.

I've been able to handle odors with recirculating carbon filters in bigger rooms. Since you are running CO2 sealed, also make sure to tighten up all those smell leaks.

People talk about the health risks of using ozone, and I don't necessarily buy into them, but for the money carbon filters has always been my go to remedy and gotten the job done.

I have the same one, be careful cycling it though, i could be wrong, but i believe i was told that it would really decrease the longevity of the bulb. I keep mine on for 18 hours a day, not in the grow room, but inserted in the exhaust ducting, and my bulb is almost 2 years old. I don't think i'd use it in the room though.

My buddy gave me 1 several yrs ago & warned me if it is in the room w/ the plants, they wont have any smell so I have always used it in the room I vent into. worked great till it died recently. plan to buy another soon.

I know these can be dangerous so I spoke with a technician at CAP and he gave me a very stern warning about running this too long. He STRONGLY recommended putting it on a timer only running this for 15-20 mins each hour.

I'm only on day 17/18 of flower so I don't have any real strong odors. What I do have is the general green plant smell. It was permeating the house. I hadn't noticed it since I'm here all the time but my GF pointed it out to me. After a couple of days running the OZN-1 the GF says she can't smell ANYTHING!!!
