oZone Generators inside grow room debate

Okay; so I have been looking at effective ways to keep odor down as a secondary measure (Backup). I have been reading lots of forums regarding small (correct usage for room size) for oZone Generators mostly saying they effective (Inside) of a grow room and do not damage the plant, yields, taste and smell of the end product.
However I would love to hear someone who actually run a oZone Generator in the grow room?

It also appears to that a lot of people say it damages the plant, yield, taste and smell do? But couldn't this just be an incorrectly setup of the oZone; to much oZone created in the grow room?

I want to talk about actual usage of oZone Generators correctly configured inside of a grow room.
I would like to hear from people who use or have used them.
Any input is also good!
I don't want to talk about inline oZone generators (like BigBlue).
I don't want to talk about effects on humans.

I've done several grows with them and I think they are great. I've never seen any plant damage done by them. My grow cabinet was 6' x 4' x 6'.

@potpimp Thanks for the reply; do you have your Generator running 24/7 or on a timer? do you smell oZone, or your plants or neither? Correct me if I'm wrong but ideally you want to have no smell; so you can't smell ozone or the plants? What oZone Generator do you have?

@budman111 Thanks for the reply; I have been looking at the exact same one; how big is your grow area? and do you run it with a timer or is it 24/7? (if so how long is your timer set?) Have you noticed difference in the smell, taste, or yield? Thanks heaps!

ok these units work great for smell . if your in the room for more then a few minutes this unit is not for you . there is a lot of info on these units in a very bad way lets say its the same as breathing the worse polluted air on earth harmful . if your no in the room go for it . suggest a carbon filter . also ozone generators will make people with health problems lung breathing issues and so on and so on

room is small, about 10ft x 10ft, any bigger and get the 3000 model, I put on a household timer 5 on 1 off, no difference in smell, taste, or yield, just the smell of a thunderstorm in the room rather than weed!

i have this
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007GS5L08/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
at 5 minutes an hour it FUCKED my plants up. at 2 minutes an hour, same thing not quite as bad.
now i use it one minute every 3 hours and it seems to not be doing anymore damage.
the damage was identical to the damage you get from having an led way too close, but i wasn't using an led.
this is a pic of light bleaching damage, but the leaf damage was the same.

my friend told me he was having problems, asked me to come over and look at his room. this ^ is pretty much what i saw. i looked around his room and saw the thing you're talking about buying. i told him to quit using it. he did, and ten days later, his plants looked fine.
use an ozone generator. when you see this ^, quit using it......

If you want to use ozone to kill odors then you should have 30' of exhaust hose with the O3 generator at the far end so the ozone has time to kill the stink before the air is sent outside.

Even at low levels it's not good for plants or us either so it should just be in the exhaust stream and adjusted so you can't smell your pot or the ozone outside the house.

I messed up my plants many years ago with ozone and the damage presents itself like mite damage with little brown spots all over the leaves. That's where the O3 has been drawn into the stomata on the bottom of the leaves and killed the cells around it. Thought I had mites for sure but couldn't find a bug anywhere.

i will admit the one i have is pretty powerful, and now that i have it hooked up to a cyclic timer so its running one minute evey three hours it seems to be alright, and it keeps the odor under control. pretty sure it helps kill things like pm and mold spores, too. just be careful with them, too much is a very bad thing, and it doesn't take a lot to be too much

You should have put it on a timer, they are great when used properly not just for killings smells but airborne nasties too :bigjoint:

I have a commercial size Living Air Ozone/ion generator running outside the grow room in the basement to kill the mold that likes to grow there as it's often damp and we've had a couple floods down there. It's turned down so low that you barely notice any ozone smell but it keeps the mold at bay. All the air going into my room is drawn from the rest of the basement and filtered before it gets to my plants. So f'n dry here I have never had powdery mildew or other stuff like that happen in the 13 years I've been growing in there.

They used to use that type of generator in restaurants until they got banned from public places because they rot your lungs out faster than smoking a pack a day. They look almost like a speaker from a distance.

Here's mine sitting on top of the unused brine tank next to my distiller. Runs 24/7.
