Over-fertilization question

This is in relation to my previous post ('Look familiar?' with pics under 'Indoor Growing'):

and directly relates to:

Web Gallery Wizard™

(thanx 'xbravoz'---GREAT site), which is where I borrowed the attatched 2 pictures, as they exhibit the exact same symptoms of my plants.

I found these 2 pictures underneath "Fertilizer Burn" on the ganjaguerrilla site. Interestingly enough, the caption under one said 'Nitrogen Toxicity' but when saving it found it alluded to a lack of light as well. Anyone have any comment on that?:confused:The other was just captioned 'Droopy' but I'm assuming they both are sypmtoms of over-fertilization.

Here's my question (love links if you got'm)---- what's the best way, in a hydroponic system, to flush the plants? And, is this ABSOLUTELY necessary? (or could I just dilute the present mix, as well as water spray saturate the leaves) Actually, that's two questions........or three.......:joint::mrgreen:

THANKS!

(thanks to shunkushybrid as well, just looking for more detail.)

To do a complete and proper flush you will need some hydroponic flushing products and hydrogen peroxide. They are available at every grow shop and online and there are a few to choose from.
And yes you do need to change the water in the res about every two weeks, because toxic chemicals build up in the water killing the plants slowly.
Diluting water is only useful for when you overshoot the PPMs and need to drop'em

I've ordered a pH / ECC meter on e-bay....otherwise, I'd tell you what the pH was.....

Got plenty of bubblers, so O2 shouldn't be a problem and if anything the water is WAY to cold.......what kind of problems would that cause?

wow!

PH seems to be a HUGE issue for alot of guys. in 30+ years of growing in soil, ive never one single time checked my PH, and never had any problems with it.

in the wild, you dont have kind of little garden knome wandering around checking PH and adjusting it. might be a big issue for those guys growing hydroponically though.

ive been told i grow some of the most potent best tasting reef in norcal, and ive never spent more than a couple hundred bucks on a grow ( after light purchases though, if its an indoor). ive even had people give me whatever i needed on occasions ( pots, dirt, ect, ect) just so they could get a taste of what the end result is...HAHAH!

I spend about 90$ per crop. Biggest difference between soil and hydro is the amount of the harvest. I tripled my yields by going hydro. Is a lot less work too.
