we finally cut down are baby(first plant). we cut the stalk and hung her upside down in a dark room. we tried to keep the temps and humidity at the right levels but we had a heat wave and it got a little warmer down there. the buds feel almost crubbly dry! she has only been drying for a week. what should we do. we have yet to trim anything off her like read in the FAQ

hmmm, i'd def say take her down from drying and go ahead and manicure it, then place in brown paper bags for a couple days. if it's still really dry, go ahead and put them in jars and start the curing process

Sounds like it is dry to me. Just a little faster then you would like, but nonetheless,
after you jar/bag it the buds will soften back up pretty quickly. Do the stems snap when they are bent?
That is always a telltale sign.

oh i bet it does! how bout some pics?? do the stems snap or just bend? if they snap you don't have to put em in the bags, just go straight to the curing jars, any glass containers with a lid will be fine. don't put em in the fridge either. I think curing is one of the most overlooked and important stages of growing! it's like you've spent months and months caring after your girls, why not do the best thing to get the best herb. curing is where the pyscoactive properties of THC reach there full potential. i cure for a minimum of 2 weeks. for the first week, twice a day open the jars, take the buds out carefully and then put em back in. You'll notice the herb will get stinkier and more cyrstiallie as each day passes.. enjoy

I just read a aritcle on curing it said to put it in a paper bag. the stems break when bent. I will try to post some pics but I have been having problems with that.

my buddy watercured some weed, and to dry it, put it underneath his laptop fans.. worked for him. lol. But for large amount, I wouldn't think this would work.

last time, instead of using paper bags, I used a Pine Box to dry it out before putting in the jars :D Astonishing Results :)
