Outdoor Ohio

Hey everyone, i jus have few questions here. Im plannin on gettin a nice guerrilla grow goin here in northeast OHIO, about 20-25 plants, ive never done outdoor grows before, just indoors. I was going to veg the plants inside for about 2-3 weeks before putting them outdoors around first week of June. Do you guys think this ok, or should i try and get them out earlier? It would have to be after first week of May anyway because of frost issues, i would let them go until end of September. This sound ok? ANY feedback apprecciated

watch out for the drug task force choppers.I heard MJ sticks out like a sore thumb from the air.I'd scatter them and try to keep them tied down under a side of a bushy tree about L8 june to mid july.Sometimes early august is better depending on situation.

To avoid detection i never put more than 2-3 plants together. I always put them by sticker bushes and near or in swamps. That keeps the people away, and 2-3 plants never get spotted by choppers. Make sure you got good sun, and try not to visit to often. Trust me, if you keep the patches small, the law really don't give a shit about it, they are going for the 40-100 plant patches, and they can be spotted by chopper. I'm in the NE US , and our weather is similar to Ohio, and I put mine out mid may to early june, but this was a mild winter and its warming up fast so mine will be out in 3-4 weeks. Remember if your veggin inside slowly put the pots out 1-2 hours a day so they get use to the sun, or they'll burn up.

ps- i lived in central ohio from 1980-1984 good times, mexican or columbian at 90 a 1/4 lb, and it was pretty good stuff- those were the daze

Most outdoor strains won't be ready until mid-late Oct. Use a top44 or bonkers type strain that only take 6-7 weeks to flower.

I buy $ store flowers and twist tie them to my plants. Can't tell shit from a distance. Pot doesn't have nice red flowers. Just don't put them where some old lady will find them...
Oh my look at the pretty flowers, let me pick some HEE HEE :)

vegging them indoor will just make them bigger... They will start to flower when the days start to become shorter.
I'm a outdoor ohio grower and my plants never finish before middle of october. Some of my plants that were in direct sunlight all summer were premature when i cut them down and it was like november. That's the pain in the ass with growing here. Your plants are still neon green when everything else is dying and falling off. Plants stick out like a sore thumb in the fall

damn, yea i figured that it would pry go a little into october, im not surprised ur plants took all the way till november to finish, especially with ohio weather lol

Sativas are even worse. They can take up to 10-12 weeks to flower depending on the region the seeds were "built" for. My last indoor grow was Pure Power Plant. Those bitches would have froze outside for sure.

GreenLife: Next Generation Seed Co.

check out the Bonkers and Diablo. I thought about ordering from here but they are shady when it comes to answering e-mail. Anyway these are the kind of strains you want to use outdoors in the colder regions. I'm going with top44 only cuz its easy to find and flowers fast.

Peace, Dutch

I too am doing a first grow outdoors in Ohio. I have 17 plants just starting to veg indoors until I can move them out. All bagseed while I see how this goes. I have spots picked out in my head, but have yet to decide where they will be for sure.

As for any others that have done outdoor grows in Ohio, what is the normal yield for an outdoor plant? Any rough estimates?

good to see there are some ohio growers out there!! im gettin pumped for the outdoor season haha. U guys r a little ahead of me though, im not gonna be starting to veg mine indoors for for another couple weeks cuz i still have to get some seeds together. I dont see why u couldnt get a pound a plant, especially if this summer will be like last, all of damn october was pretty damn warm.
