Outdoor lighting issues.

So I'm in hawaii off grid and I only have a limited amount of power on property. We are basically at 12/12 light here so I was told I needed supplemental lighting. With my current solar setup I can sacrifice 3 hours a night bringing the total to about 15/ 9. I'm really just trying to keep them in a veg state. Can I downsize to a household light that's more efficient to keep them in veg?

Yeah you don’t need a high powered grow light to keep them in veg. You could use some led bulbs or t8’s

Start with efficiency.... like strips with LM301H diodes and drive them softy from the battery bank with a dc-dc converter.

Light them in the middle of the night for a couple hours,it's the uninterrupted darkness that triggers flowering.GL
