Greetings and salutations fellow botanists.

Coming through with a rooftop grow this year.
The lineup for this year:

Barneys farm - G13 Haze. Grew this last year and got AMAZING results. Regrow had to be done.
Ripper seeds - Washing machine, Old School, ripper haze. Spanish seed company that look really interesting. Something new for me.
Reserva Privada - Sour Diesel. Age old classic, havn't grown it before so exited. I believe Reserva Privada are something to do with dinafem.
Sweet Seeds - Red Poison Auto x2

I've also taken a few cuttings of the washing machine and the sour Diesel so have them on the sidelines.

As i've started this thread in flowering time I'll go ahead and post pictures from last week.

I'll post pictures of the girls and give a run through of each one

Here we have the oldschool. She seems to be the furthest along out of the lot. Giving a lovely aroma, slightly sweet and very skunky. As you can see she got hit with a bit of overfeeding nitro. She got the dreaded claw. Gave her a good flush out but still the clawing remains. I've been trying to look up on the internet if the clawing will ever disappear but from what i've gathered it will stay like this forever, can somone confirm this? Constant conflicting information.

Here we have the Sour Diesel. Flowering away beautifully.

Clone I took of the Washing machine, she was an unexpected grow as a friend didn't take the clone away in time so whacked her in a random garden pot and fed and watered like the rest. Past month she's exploded.

Red Diesel Auto. Such a beautiful flower. Shes gonna be cut down next week, giving her only water from now. The smells from this are mental. Super sweet, aromatic, somewhat like berrys. Never experienced an aroma like her before.

Ripper Haze. She's an odd one, been proper tempermental. Some points she was really lagging behind the other girls, was looking super pale and weak. But over the past two or three weeks she has exploded and looking much happier as shes entering into flower.

G13 Haze. Not much to say about this beauty. Grew her last year with amazing results. Had one seed left over so had to be done again. Going to give her a boost of food tonight as shes looking a bit pale, but otherwise growing fantastically.

Washing machine mama. She got hit with the claw about two weeks ago, gave her a heavy flush and didnt give her any neuts containing Nitrogen since, clawing remains. Still scratching my head about this one, but as with the Old school. I think its there to stay. Going to give it a full feed tonight to give it an extra boost.

Sour D clone. Same as the others with the nitrogen toxicity, this one only happened last week though. immedietly gave it a flush with just water and clawing remains. Havn't given it any N since.

Cheers for stopping by. Would be great if anyone could confirm or deny if the clawing will remain for the girls who've over indulged.
Will pop by soon

Nice plants amigo but that clawing you refer to seems to be the result of overwatering. None of the plants above look to be suffering from nitrogen toxicity, in fact your plants look a bit nitrogen deficient, although some growers like that toward harvest time.

Over watering quite simply isn't possible. I don't think. As I am in very hot climates and if anything they suffer from being underwatered most of the time.
But noted. I was thinking of dehydrating the three problem children and giving a good feed after that. So will do that starting tomorrow as I just gave the three a watering with ph'd water and zyme.
I do agree that they're also looking deficient, simply because I was trying to give them no nitrogen, incase it was toxicity.

They definitely look hungry

Hey buddy! The Single Seed Centre just delivered washing machine from Ripper seeds today! I'm going to be following along!
-good luck!

*regarding over-watering is it possible you're not letting them dry out enough between feedings? That can also promote over-watering

Your fabric pots are not draining well. You can see the residue line on the pots from having been too saturated. As well as reducing the water on the plants with leaf droop, try to provide some air beneath the pots as you have with the plant on the wood bench.

Noted. I have slightly elevated some of them with the tiles, that you can see but will try something extra. But my question STILL remains. Will the clawing from the toxicity remain forever?

In my experience some of it will, and I believe it stays regardless of how big and long you grow the plant, but that's just from my observation from a very limited few that I've had do that

you can go see my grow Journal called Remo chemo and the second remo chemo is in the same situation that you are speaking of and to this day it has a few claws, maybe six months or so after I crack the seed

I haven't taking a cut from it yet but it will be interesting to see if the remo cut also retains the clawing tendency ?

ok. good to know and thanks for telling me. I've now elevated all the girls more under some bricks and more floor tiles stacked up, so drainage shouldn't be too much of a problem anymore and now, i'm going to dehydrate the clawing girls and after give them a big, full feed. I was looking back at my last years grow and matching up dates, the ones last year were no way near as yellow is this. definately crying out for some N

Its pretty hard to over water in smart pots..

Things look pretty good.

Let them dry out a day or so.

Also, siting on the stone and concrete like that heats up the root ball. This can manifest itself as over water/under water problems.
Its hard, yes, but looking at pictures of the internet and then looking at mine, it seems pretty likely now, especially after I had been flushing them like a mad, panicing cunt!

I would take it slow. don't make any quick reactive measures just yet. First I would elevate them to keep the root balls cool, then let them dry and see what happens. If is a bit late in the season for a bunch of N.. Some of my plants are looking very yellow but the budding is speeding up..

Looking back on photos from last year, they're definately under fed. I also didn't crop until the end of September start of october last year and I was running similar strains.
Possibly ease them in with a half feed, in that case though, as to not shock them

Give them a shot of 20-20-20 once, to green them up, and keep the bottoms elevated so air can get under there. Might want to try adding more perlite to your soil next season. The fabric pots might be mud-bound at the bottom. Manufacturers never add enough perlite to their bagged soil, imo.

Used the same stuff as last year and didn't have these problems.
All in all, its my own fault, was far too over zealous with watering and feeding this year as I started much later and felt I needed to catch up. Started off well, but now i'm paying the price! Had a mega heatwave come through at the end of last month carrying on until the start in which i got into the habit of watering them daily, simly because they were drying out so rapidly.
All are elevated now and with the current temps here at 28c they should be dried out fully within a couple of days.
Cheers for the advice guys. Will keep you lot updated!

Last years grow. Didn't even elevate them, but we had much higher temps well until september.

gotcha.

I don't run chemical. That last shot of the whole garden, those plants look about normal for this time of year. If you give them a half dose of nutrient and they don't respond, i think they are just changing with the season..I am Northern CA. Which has about the same climate as where you are. It is probably a little more humid here since there are many rivers around. My plants have been dropping leaves like gang busters, some more than others but, depending on your latitude and local climate, some plants just look terrible toward the end of the season. I think its just like fall colors tho.

That was taken at the end of last years grow. Last week of sept IIRC. but still, look better than my girls now. It annoys me a bit hahaha.

So even after one day the girls are already starting to look better and perk up. All are raised so the bottoms can get air and for when i next water they can drain properly.
I definately will be switching soils next year, I think. Or be adding alot more perlite. I think in another day or two I will start feeding and waterin the affected girls again. I'm thinking to give them half feeds and water of what I have been giving them, just to ease them back in and, hopefully, get them looking much more lush and green as they were a week ago.

Cheers for the help again guys. Will keep you lot updated.
