Hows she goin there bub. I live in nova scotia, so I assume our growing seasons are quite close to eachother. I usualy put my plants outside middle of may, and usualy end up harvesting end of september, early october. I have had longer flowering strains before, which is crappy because, it starts to get cold fast, and usualy have to harvest early, also a huge factor is mold. So my advice is to buy shorter flowering strains. hope that helps, tappy tokin:fire:

Yes, many indicas have very short flowering periods. You might even consider getting an autoflower or two, just for a mid summer harvest! Flowering will usually occur once the days start getting shorter, I have heard ealy to mid August or so. Although I have heard of some that will flower as early as mid July. Just google for strains that have short flowering period and once you have a list of strains, look for reviews here and compare prices.

Sweetkush,

You should look into buying seeds from drgreenthumbs. My buddy grew chemdogkush from them and it finished early october and we had a nasty wet fall with mold issues.Worst one I've seen in years.

I've just got their most popular strain "Endless sky". It finishes in mid to late september which would be good in your area. They are expensive (25$ per feminized seed) compared to european seed banks ,but they're well worth it.

there is mold and fungus resistance weed strains that you can buy, if thats any help.

Even those mold resistant strains will eventually succumb to mold if left to long. They do much better than regular strains though.Mold and fugus just love those heavy thick crystally buds that we also love.

An indica strain that finishes mid to end september should finish in Newfoundland.

In Portland Oregon, it seems like one day at the end of summer it just starts raining and doesn't stop until April or May. Sounds like it is the same there

Thanks guys and thats cool Trichome your from newfoundland, did you ever grow outside if so what strains do you recommend for around here?

alright, so then the answer is clear an Indica strain. i don't know why i thought this but i just figured there must have been some kind of spray or something that could keep fungus/mold from growing...

I'm trying to set this out because i would like a big grow for this season with minimal screw-ups(which seem to happen all the time) but what about location a good open windy spot like a hillside would be better than a clearing in amongst trees? i dunno any kinda precautions like duke said "you can shake the morning dew off the buds every day" and a greenhouse would be stellar but funds are a problem and it would have to be a big greenhouse, so it would be very visible.
