Outdoor Growing In Canada

K so just a few questions here from a first time grower long time smoker:bigjoint: haha.

When is the preferred time to transplant the plants from inside to outside? I know that starting inside then going outside is the best way to start so that's what I'm going to do. I live near the London area so South Ontario if you will. I've heard that after the last frost is your best bet but I don't know when exactly that is, maybe around may 24?

So ya just wondering if there is anyone around London on in Ontario that grows on here and some help/tips would be appreciated! Thanks yo!:peace: I'll +rep too lol

Im close to the London area, Your ideal window to put your plants outside would be between last frost (approx. may15, u can google it) and the first week or two of june. this will give ur plant a good amout of light (tip. plant in southern exposure) and will yield better results...
try and get some seedlings going indoor ASAP. a couple 6500k CFLs would do the trick. ive already got mine going for this summer.
Best of luck bro. glad to see some london rep.

Cheers.

I live in southern Alberta and it can be a pain transplanting into the ground because our nights get cold in the spring time. I always start my seeds in a window sill that's facing south and always bring them outside for warm days on my deck. Watch your weather forecast a week before the last frost, and if it says its going to be nice and warm I plant mine outside a week before it. But since the nights get cold here I like to put a plastic mulch over my babies.

Good luck

I have had a plant outside since April 15th, five days, yes the uv rays did a number on the top but it is not dead!! i hope it doesn't turn male or hermie but it is alive, was done as a test plant! Live in the central new york state area, only one night of frost and it didn't hurt the plant as far as i can see. peace outdoor growers, good luck, we will need it!

I actually have french-canadian blood running through these veins!! I love CANADA!! Everytime I have been to Toronto and Montreal I have hooked up with some dank ass buds! One time I bought a sack of chronic from the bouncer at a strip club on St.Catherines St. in Montreal, he actually asked me for ID!! I got carded for a bag of weed, lol!!! We were so stoned on the way back to NY that we forgot we had a joint burning in the ashtray when we got to the border, the broad asked me if I had been drinking and I laughed in her face and replied, "Noooooooo", real cute like. She asked if I was sure and I laughed again, my buddy piped in that yes we had some drinks but that was hours ago. I can't believe she didn't pull us over, I was stoned out of my mind and had been drinking earlier in the night!! Man was I an idiot back then!! Oh, forgot to mention I have some Irish blood as well, damn lucky charms.

Thanks everyone! heres a few more questions I've been thinking about,

1.When my seeds have sprouted from the soil will I just be able to put them outside for sunlight and then bring them back in at night?
2.Are soil mixes REALLY that important? What if I were to just use walmart soil in the ground? Would this cause a small yield and shitty bud?
3.When my plants are in the ground and they need to be watered, about how much should I actually give them?
4.How much do the plants start to smell when they are flowering?
5.Can male plants be used to make hash as well?
6.There is a small water reservoir near where I'm going to have my plot, it's a murky color, would this be alright to use for watering?

Thats all I can think of right now, but I will probably be posting some more up when I actually get these lil devils rockin.

Thanks

you can bring them in at night if you want
better soil makes for better plants, you want something with better drainage than standard topsoil and more nutrients (you can add nutes later though, doesn't have to be in the soil mix right away)
depends on how big the plants are, what your soil is like, etc. when it's dry for the first few inches of soil give it a nice watering basically.
i've never made it that far so i can't answer on the smell
murky water is better than no water, but obviously something fresher would be nice
