Outdoor growers that have been on RIU for a while

Howdy, I was just looking through everyone's threads and seeing what was going on in the outdoor world. It's that time of year, getting plots prepped and plants vegetating to go to the great outdoors in my guerilla locations...

I have been curious for sometime now, been wondering where and old friend of mine has gone... can anyone confirm whatever happened to Getawaymountain?? Have not seen nothing posted from him for a very long time and his username is not even coming up in searches anymore??? Hopefully he is okay!
 
sorry wish i could be of help... i haven't been on here much over the last 8 years. This is the first year in about 9 years that I am even growing what I would call anything serious. For me that is going to be 1 indoor green gelato, and 4 outdoor frisian dew plants. I am also going to be putting out some auto plants... I just haven't figured out how many because i don't want to take care of a bunch of them... land like a dummy i bought reg seeds for the autos instead of fems...for some reason i decided i wanted to pollinate my autos to recover some seeds for next years grow... even though i am already looking at other auto strains for next year. :wall:

Theres really no point in pollen chucking strains you haven't grown to finish before. Just a little tip theres a lot of shitty auto Genetics out there if you follow the auto subforum on here the experienced growers will tell you to stick to Mephisto, Dinafem, Royal Queen and Dutch Passion autos. I know I've tried a bunch of others and they were all garbage.

I am looking at some from mephisto, sweet seeds, and Royal queen seeds for next summer... My October and sometimes September are cool and damp so if i can grow some good autos that finish in july or August that would be awesome!

I am looking at mephisto northern cheese haze, Humboldt seeds blue dream auto, Royal queen seeds Royal cookies auto, and lineage genetics blackberry auto... Along with a few other 2nd choices in case the ones i want are sold out.

Yes Humbolt is another popular one so they must be decent genetics.

Honestly I would it's not a popular breeder. Especially if you wanna chuck pollen you don't wanna waste too much time.

Well if i go with fem autos i probably won't try pollinating them... The flash seeds genetics are probably inferior and i aalso don't really want to cross strains. I'm not trying to breed my own strains... Looking at my current choices I'd have probably been better off with fem autos of better quality. Then i wouldn't be wasting time planting and growning out all the males which i only needed 1 of anyway.

Right but you can always take your strongest females and self pollinate making your own feminized seeds.

Not complicated at all you can buy colloidal silver already prepared and you just spray your strongest females twice a day for 2-3 weeks then you'll see balls and she'll take care of herself your buds will have feminized seeds, it really is that simple.

Well i couldn't resist... I ordered some Mephisto Norther Cheese Haze, and Royal queen seeds Royal cookies auto and Royal creamatic auto seeds...

No idea where he went, but I know there were a number of really bad report's on his strains last year, moldy and not finishing remotely close to his stated time frames. I assumed he was laying low as a result.

He updates his web page, and is on IG. Not on here, but not hiding out.
To be fair, everything molded last year. I had weeks of fog, usually none.

My native mold resistant tobacco turned to a puddle of black goo, the cukes got wiped out in 2 days.
Both my Kodiak and Goldmine R2,s were big bud crosses They were on track to finish early, but mold got everything.

The Downeast and R-2 are more sativa leaning, I've got a Poison Warp clone for the porch this Summer off a couple going indoors right now
I might try the Stumbleweed, (Iranian x R2) that looks like a nice porch plant.

thanks for the info... if i find an auto strain i really like I might buy a few more seed packs and try this...
