outdoor Colorado mountains

I have been growing outdoors for the last four years in the Southeast US with alot of success. I am moving to Colorado in a few months and have several questions. I will be living at around 7,000 ft. Is it possible to grow outdoors at this elevation? Any strain sugestions? Can I still get heavy yields with such a short season? Any tips on growing in the mountains would be apreciated because growing in the altitude is diferent than what I am used to. Thanks for all your help
