Most sites that sell seeds give their opinions on whether they are suitable for outdoor growth in general. As for Canadian specific strains, I would suggest anything with a fairly short flowering period to get ahead of that nasty frost.
Personally, I think an indica you like is the way to go. They are more discrete and believe it or not you average knucklehead won't realize it is a marijuana plant immediately because of their massive leaves. Since I'm a hypocrite, I grow big bud x widow cross, but I would suggest Afghani or an Afghani cross for outdoor Canadian grows. Having said that, there really isn't a bad strain. You should grow your favorite strain and be content.
