Outdoor Autoflowering light duration question.

Yes i know photo periods are not as important to auto's becasue they flower by age, what i need to know is im about to plan a Think Different auto by Dutch passions outdoors ( i live in Toronto Canada) and my main concern is she will prolly only get like 10 hours of light a day due to structures blocking alot of the early morning light. Will these 10 hours of light give me good yields, this strain says it will provide about 250g per plant outdoors. So if this is too little light or will really destory my yield someone tell me please, Thanks in advance guys.

I'm kinda wondering too, I want to put my NL in my window and let it finish but it flowered so quickly i'm not sure how normal light conditions will affect it.

10 hrs isn't great for autos .. your yield will be greatly reduced. But 250g/plant .. way overstated for an auto even at optimum conditions ... more like 50 to 100 gms if your very lucky ...

happy growin

If you saw 250g it was probably per m2. No way an auto would yield 8 ounces and especially not from 10 hours of light. I wouldn't expect much of a yield from 10 hours of light a day. Recommended for autos is 18-20 and sometimes 24. Now if it was outdoors on a patio or something that go at least 14-16 hours of light that would be somewhat ok due to the amount of lumens the sun puts out. As far as using the light from a window, windows block out a good bit of light by themselves and unless your window is 100% spotless dust, grime, fingerprints, etc will block additional lights. Just look up grows where people used a window. You'll see long lanky stretched out plants almost every time.

Few things, that's the breeders grow first of all not some random person. They knew exactly what they were doing because it's their strain. Secondly, LEDs put out lumens comparable to HIDs. If they got that much they were probably using high end, top of the line, large LEDs. Notice they don't say how powerful the light was. They probably used something close to what a 1000w puts out, which is more than the sun actually. So to answer your question: No. I wouldn't say don't try, but don't expect to get that yield in the slightest.

EDIT: Just checked the grow journal. "Our team recommend you use the maximum light before heat becomes an issue. We would love to see what 450W, or ideally 600 Watts, of LED power would do to the best looking plant". Blackstar says their 90w LED is the equivalent to a 320w HID based on lumens so use that for comparison.
