Those were the prices I paid about ten years ago, while backpacking around Australia. Good on ya for keeping inflation down!
That being said, what folks called "bush weed" in oz was always terrible weed - but the stuff I got in Nimbin knocked my socks off! The worst was this stuff I got in Alice Springs - it was almost black!

im in melbourne too, i usually get mine for $230 but the most i've paid was $250
thank god i grow my own weed lol the stuff i buy on the streets don't even come close to the stuff i grow when it comes to flavour and potency
