Ortho Phosphate

I was reading my cities water report, included in the report was what was added to the water. They said that fluorides were not added, thankfully, but Chlorine Gas, and Ortho Phosphate were added. The city is drawing from wells.

I let the water stand and bubble for a few days before using it half and half with R/O water so I'm not concerned with the Chlorine, but whatever this Ortho Phosphate is, I don't know if it's an issue or not.

I did look a bit on Google, but didn't find anything related to plants and their interaction with this chemical.

What do you guys know about this stuff? I'm just trying to get the best water for my plants.

Best water is RO water bro.
Tap water ppm is 300-500ppm
Store bought distilled water is 30-65ppms
RO water is 0 ppm

Orthophosphate isn't going to be a problem. I would be worried about high levels of calcium or iron. Get a RO filter and you will have clean water.

If you are over 500ppm think about an to filter. I would have no worries. And 300ppm is nothing to be concerned about.

In this season you are fine, but just wait till late summer when the city gets in water from any shit place, for this reason I urge all growers to measure there local water every month until you know the Ph values every month by heart, nothing fucks a great crop quicker than salt or fucked water, as a minimum water your planrs, then refill the can so it evaps all the crap over the next few days to the next watering ...!

if u can get ppms down to 0 thats 300 more ppm of nutes.. You know how much happier plants get from that?

Its used to control the corrosion of copper pipes. And the minute amounts used should have no negative effects on your plants.
