I Love Edibles and Drinkables, I make a wicked Chai Coffee with grain alcohol, honey, and Bud cooked up to add to drinks, two teaspoons are like a muscle relaxer. Take more, get higher.
My Girl calls me the "Mad Scientist" when she finds me working at 3 a.m. On any number of projects.
Peace,

Im moving to colorado in janurary. Cant wait to get the outdoor monsters going. Gorilla really wasnt my style. I spent the early 2000s killing my back carrying water. I like the beds and the nice irrigation. Props bro. My veggie garden looks similar but bigger. Im wandering what the benefits are verses making one big bed, or splitting them up into smaller beds.
I built a 10' x 16' bed and brought in 3 truckloads of soil. Hella work... I have seen alot of people make several small beds instead of a big one. Just wandering what the logic is on this?

Thanks man. One reason i split them up and spaced them out some is the plants get a lot bigger then you'd think. If they were in one big bed, you couldn't space them out as much, and they'd grow right into each other. Same as with our lovely ganja - more space for each plant = more light = more fruit.
Plus if you have to walk into your bed to work in it, your compacting your soil down under your feet every time. There's more then one way to skin a cat though ah?

Im a subscriber to the saying "Grow food, not lawns". Grow our own food. Grow our own medicine. Grow happy. :eyesmoke:

nice man thanks. Very tru bro i have to enter my garden a few times a week. Im spaced pretty well but i cant help but to think about all the wasted soil in between the rows.DSC01205.jpg Well i guess im not as spaced out as i was thinking lol.. Here is a pic any way. I amended the soil much like subs super soil recipe.. Less potent though..

Yeah guys, im very fortunate to be surrounded by such good company. :-)

So some of the girls i got are going to another outdoor garden, and some are going inside. The Ace and Jilly are going right into my indo scene. The others are going into the ground in a week or so (soon as the harden off), and then clones taken once they fatten up. Those are the BKQ (the geek), BlueJ, Timewreck, and my keeper Chernobyl. Some of which are going to get hit by a little bit of Chernobyl dude pollen sometime in August/Sep for sock drawer reserves :-)

So... im going to build a small "greenhouse" for my outdoor plants this year, mostly for the purpose of using light deprivation. its going to be 4' wide x 24' long x 6' high.

Thinking its basically going to be a 2x4 frame with a PVC hoop top for easy/smooth blackout tarp covering. It will be open to the air and light during the day, then ill cover it at night, starting Aug 1st. Then, when i get a random day of rain at the end of the season, ill have a clear one that i can throw over...

Still working it all out, but i think i can do it without too much of a hitch. Especially when ive got Nerds like yall to watch my back ah? haha
Anywhoo... Gunna take a few bong rips in the sun, and then get to work! Let me know what yall think, and any tips/ideas you have for me.

I like the way you work O....

I've seen a few of those greeny's in the style you mentioned... I've seen it done with 1/2 or 3/4" pvc pipe and fittings... Put 2 tee's with the branches facing the inside of the GH, one at each side of the GH set at the width you want, then figure out how long of a piece of pipe it takes to bend over from one side to the other to be able to get the height you want... I'd figure on putting a piece of pipe into the ground out of the bottoms of the tees to hold it in place... Just make as many as you need to cover the length you need. Then basically fit your cover over it.... It may be sounding much easier to be slapped together in my head seeing I have a major canna-cookie hangover right about now but I have seen a few done that way but never have I been so lucky to be able to go out doors safely... I know 1/2" will be much easier to use seeing you arent going to be going that big, 3/4 is quite a bit more rigid but 1/2 is pretty easy to work with and quite flexible... You could probably do it without any wood at all depending on how heavy your cover is...

Sorry I didnt bust out the protractor and rulers for neatness, I know... I know... I should have been a doctor based on my penmanship.... but this is what I came up with right quick through my fog...
