kewl a Michoacan Bagseed grow!! i used grow these and some Oaxacans when i was a kid..we dotn get that weed no more tho :(

Nice going bro
Thanks! You know, Mexican MJ isn't original land race no more. I currently posses something (huge colas) reminiscent of Northern Lights from Alaska back in the 90's and a Blueberry-type strain I harvested in the field... All of my plants are different! I think I have an auto strain too by the way it looks. 1 thing is for sure, almost all of the shwag that leaves the country is cut early and almost all of it is cross-breed genetics from years of cross pollination & since the boom of "femenized seeds", there's been some high quality seeds being produced from the "hermies + Fem plants" in the fields. I'm just hoping some of the plants don't freak out on me sometime towards the end & bust nuts on the rest of the girls. That's the risk I'm taking with todays genetics from local outdoor grows.

Lately I'm looking at my grow more like a report for the world about the seeds I'm collecting locally (Michoacan, Mexico; don't tell no one ;)), just so you know what is possible out of a bag of Mexican shwag bags which are really just designer seeds cross-breeding with no regulation ^_^

Yur right..i know alota the straisn got poluted with some indica genes to make em awhile back and like you said open field polinations...buts its still kewl im my book...i was lookin at Reefermans "Blackseed" its IBL Mecxican from the 70's..but doesnt specify wat region. That strain you have that reminds you of Blueberry just might be Oaxacan, or whats left of it...it grows dark purple stems and leafs..tastes fuckin bomb to...and its one of the key strains in Blueberry..i seen grows with it recently on another forum so its still goin somewere near the border lol im sure yul find somethign good bro

and fo reals..yur secret is safe

I have like 1 or 2 black seeds "Semilla negra" as the growers call it. They are tiny little things. I might give them a shot as soon as I can clear my grow room. The one that smells like that unmistakable aroma of NL has dark purple stems. Yup, simply Indica strains that were brought out here.... lol, thanks for not ratting me out ^_^

I wonder if you went deep in the highlands if you coul find original stuff still?
Since Michoacan is the cradle of art in the Americas, I'm sure that some refined horticulturist out here has seeds/plants of the old strains. As any rancher with big bucks, they lavish in large "fincas" and have their own goons caring for shit, generation after generation.

About having classic land race sativa intact and in the wild is almost impossible if not existent at all. Pollen can travel super far if the conditions are just right and there's always some sort of breeze out here.

OK, I have now killed both the plant I uprooted before & replanted outside & the "auto strain-looking" plant, it has balls. The other one I uprooted earlier (hermie) was uprooted again because unfortunately we have new neighbors (FINE ASS DAUGHTERS! 3 of age and 1 that isn't, lucky me) & they can see inside of the yard from one of the girl's bedroom window...

The 3 gallon pot has hairs on 2 nodes, on the second branch closest to the light which happens to be like the 2nd or 3rd node up on the main stalk. I don't have my camera still and won't until the 11th or so & a crappy Iphone 3Gs camera won't do =(.

The other 2 remaining plants seem very fem, petioles are either sticking straight out with an inward curvature at the tips or crossed in an X pattern which IMHO is a very good sign and one of the two in the 1LT cups has what seems to be calyxes @ the topping sites (shown previously) since a long ass time ago but have not shot out hairs yet. It is an unknown purple strain x ??? (or backwards) but definitely highly Sativa for sure with really thin & long blades. I doubt it's a known strain because it was bagseed (F1, F2, F3, Etc...?)

The bonzai for clones is not showing anything yet but I'm sure it's fem & it has grown considerably.

Clones were moved out to the west window next to my room (bro's room) and are taking off from the natural sunlight.

I'll be receiving five 12" CCFL kits on the 9th and will be sticking to the original plan to use CFL and CCFL. The 4300K 55w HID Xenon(s) will be used for veg only because there is no use in using a 4300K bulb to get crappy buds. I'm sure I'll have really nice nuggs but the quality in potency/flavor?/smoothness? with the 4300K worries me. All of the comments on the internet about MH lights suck for flowering but can be used at the expense of quality.

I checked out this one page that shows CCFLs in action. Check page 2 of this link and find the grow

K.I.T. for more in the near future if any advances pop up. Love is love

UPDATE: I finally received the 12V 10A power supply from C**** and the 5 sets of red Cold Cathode tubes but 3 of the 5 have crappy ballasts (2 Logisys & 3 Unicom - never buy these!!!!). I installed 10 tubes total and all were doing well for half an hour or so after installing and turning them on for the first time and then I decide I wanted to do some shopping at the local super. I took about an hour on the streets and when I came back, there was unmistakable odor of circuit burn. I knew that could not be simply burn-in but burn-up! I was correct! 3 of the 5 ballasts went to electronics hell and had bubbled up where the breather holes were for the coil... the Logisys tubes are still going strong and the ballasts are warm but not burning up as expected.

I know that I should post pics of anything that pops up as soon as I can but I guess I didn't want to produce low quality photos.

So here goes ^_^

This pic is of 1 of the 2 in the 1LT cups. It's a top on the one that is not the bonzai

The edge of my finger nail hit one of the blades on the the fan I had blowing on the grow area and it just simply shattered (hurt me more mentally than physically), so I took the side panel 230mm fan out of my PC case (doesn't need it anyway) and placed it in a negative pressure configuration so the mylar can get pulled in as close as possible to my plants since I'm using minimal lighting.

3 gallon plant pics AKA Stinky Green (Stem is really potent smelling when it's rubbed on)

New "inadequate but have to do" setup

It's time for another update:

Last night I decided to install a second 15W 3000K CFL along with the 26W 2700K CFL and the 15w 3000K CFL I already had. I didn't want to but I'm not going to go through so much for so little ^_^ Using 76 watts total: 20w for 2 12" kits CCFL, two 15W CFLs and one 26w CFL.

I used a pastry box from a delicious swiss roll purchase at the super & wrapped the bottom in mylar, then I cut out 3 holes just big enough to squeeze the glass through and leave the ballasts out (glass was bumping into the cover when I tried sealing the lid). Then I punched a hole on the side of the lid to string the CCFL wires up to the top (bottom of the box) where the blue 12v ballasts are.

Just the red tubes to show penetration

Now with all of the lights on

How many colas do you count?

Oh yeah! Some pistils on some preflowers are starting to turn their real color on the 3 gallon stinky green and it seems like it's a dark orange color. I have a good feeling about the smoke on this one ^_^

Edit: Forgot to add that this resulted after the last water misting while the pistils were out already.
