Organic cal/ mg?

karmas a bitch

I use my amended coco to grow. It's an organic mix. I recently acquired a cut my friend says is a heavy cal/ mg feeder. Any suggestions for ways to add this. Thank u

Tap water well water and spring water will normally have a decent amount of cal mag dissolved.

Keep in mind epsom is mg and s only and its release is basically immediate so your ppm will shoot up until it leaches out. The high ppm will lock out other nutes so use epsom sparingly.

Dolomite on the other hand is cal and mag in the correct ratio but is very slow release non water soluble (dissolves in an acidic damp soil).

Another cal mag boost help can be had from Blackstrap molasses although it will also include a dose of potassium so be careful not to overfert. Good luck!

I use epson salts all the time with no problem. During fast growth it is the only way to keep up if your soil lacks dolimite. Dolimite takes to long to become soluable otherwise.

It is all about reading the plant.

I have never had any signs of diff from my mix before so I'm not really expecting any. I just wanted to be prepared. Thanks a ton for the advice.
