Hey guys,

tried to place an order and get to the sage pay check out and two different cards (mastercard and visa) both with money on them were declined. I live in the US. Has anyone else experienced this?

sometimes the bank will decline the card when they see it's for an oversea's purchase to guard against fraud and the like..

sometimes you simply have to call the bank the card is drawn on and tell them you're trying to make an overseas charge and they will lift the ban on it for you.. :)

its just something that when i ordered from the single seed center with the sage checkout it gave me an option for securecode not sure if it makes a diffrence. you can go on the master card website and set it up if you its ust a extra securicty code for online payments to prove it you ordering. want to. you could maybe just try a diffrent browser like google chrome or something.

Racerboy is correct about the banks. I have traveled out of the country and whenever I have had to do so I had to inform my bank otherwise they will assume it's stolen. Although I have another bank that lets me make international buys all I want without informing them but they send me a notification when international purchases happen. Its just something the banks do.

I've never used these because I was under the impression you had to sign up with your social security number to activate the card and then you had to turn on international purchases, I figured if they need that then I'll just use my card... Did you have to do anything like that?

i have heard the same things sir, that's why i never understood why anyone would use a prepaid over a regular card, except to guard against cc theft ...
