Opium Poppies

Hello,
My poppies are starting to bud. I was wondering if any of the Fox Farms nutes would be good for my plants?
They are in 3 gallon pots.

possibly a bloom nute? i don't think it would hurt.

That is what I am thinking. I may hit the plant with one or 2 doses of Beastie Bloomz

I just use plain old worm castings and bad guano. Poppys really dont like nutrients. Mine blue afghans are about 3 feet across right now. My china whites are about 4-5 feet tall.

1 h&c 2 ft tall
2 h&c 1 ft tall

h&c = hens and chicken variety

my first time growing them.
Do you know anything about harvesting them?

What about them are you planning on harvesting?

Also, I never use any nutrients on poppies, they grow amazingly no matter how bad the soil I put them in is.

The opium
I read that you slit the sides of the flower with 3mm razor and harvest the sap that comes out

Scar Just as the sun is going down, scrape just before it comes up.

You want to scar when the "crown" on top is browning and starting to curve upward a bit.

The plant should feel a bit squishy and filled.

Do you use any tools? Or can I make the stuff myself?

xacto knife works really well, I measure off the correct length and tape the rest to make sure it only goes as deep as needed.

you can use any knife or sharp object though.

Just make sure it is sterile

Was thinking about growing some myself but how much can one expect to get per plant? I know it is not much but how much nice milky opium do you usually get? Enough for one day or a week?

Also how long is the life cycle of the plant?

I read cycle of plant is 100-120 days and that you get about .5 grams per bulb
Mine look awful.
1 has 2 bulbs the other 2 have nothing, they just look like some stupid weeds
I think my growing medium is incorrect, I used a mixture of FF garden soil and miracle grow.

Where do you get poppy seeds?
Also is there a big difference between opium and heroin?

Sorry, I meant is the buzz different than herion. (former H addict)

Different yet the same.
I am an addict that doesn't use opiates most of the time. I will pop a few vikes or perc's from time to time now. The buzz is different b/c there are other compounds in fresh opium that is not in H. H is made from the morphine in the opium, and most opium is about 10% morphine.
It is playing with fire.
The thing that I have going for me is that I have 3 plants which at most will make 3 grams, but most likely less. If I get a habit I will run out pretty quick.
I want to make some temple balls, which is hash and opium. Monks use it to get to a higher state of conciousness

All in all it is the same high. I've done dope for the past 5 years and nothing will ever compare to the high of herion unless we are talking about fentanyl.

If you do not have a habit than DO NOT USE OPIATES, once you get a monkey on your back you are screweddd. Please take it from a former addict and a very very bad one at that do not mess with this stuff it is indeed playing with fire and YOU WILL GET BURNT.

There is a big difference from weed and herion! You can not use herion for a couple month wake up one day and just stop like you can with mari-jane just something to keep in mind.
