I dont like working under the gavita lamps in my flowering room, they are way too intense even when dimmed down to 500w via the gavita controller

My question is this

When the lights are in their normal ON cycle would it stress flowering plants to turn the main lighting off but turn on a nornal light bulb in the room while watering, spraying, etc? And then turning main lighting back on when done working in the room

They would still have the normal 12 hour dark period uninterrupted, just less intense light for about an hour every other day or so

Thanks!

Think about how plants get light in nature... Some days bright and sunny morning then clouds roll in for a storm...

No they would be totally fine, they sell sunglasses especially for grow lights, also helps correct color put out by them so you see your plants real color, not the color made by the light
I have these and still feel like im going blind, just looking in the room hurts my eyes, I have white walls which really reflect the light

I would much prefer just shutting them down while doing my thing, they cant be good for your skin I wouldn't think either

Thanks!

Thats a good point

On a side note, here in southern oregon when the sun comes out for good in late may, there wont be a cloud in the sky until late september let alone a rain drop -- huge plants and sometimes a dry outdoor harvest!
