Operation Get New Moms

I have been inspired to get some new mothers - Fdd has a thread "diving right in" - which made me think to do it. I have access to some killer seeds and decided to give some a go. SO...

Cracking up some seeds:

Trainwreck x Super Silver Haze - 5 of those

Fiesta Mix - 7 of those

Rosetta Stone - 2 of those

The Fiesta mix is a random bunch that could be - Astroboy, Dannyboy, or Conquistador.

Astroboy = Apollo13 x Taco
Dannyboy = Killer Queen x Taco
Conquistador = Hash Plant x Taco

Taco = Ortega x C99

So the cracking begins.. I hope to grow them - take clones, then sex the clones to determine which will be moms.

sounds good. never herd of half of them seeds. were did you get em?. them seed packs, look like packs of condoms.

They come from a stash of CBay purchases from a while ago.. just been holding out on them - there are tons more this is just where I start

All but 1 Trainwreck x SSH and 1 from the Fiest mix sprouted so I threw them in dirt and under a light - still not giving up on the 2 unsprouted seeds - they will sprout.

I mixed 2 parts Ocean Forest to 1 part Light Warrior - I also added some earthworm castings and coco cuar to the mix.

Can't wait for them to start popping out of the dirt.

Oh yea - there were actually 3 Rosetta Stones in the pack so I have:

3 Rosetta Stone
6 Fiesta Mix
4 Trainwreck x Super Silver Haze

Well I screwed up, but things are back on track now.

I had the wrong bulbs in and they got all stretched - then I decided to add another set of tubes up and the light fell and totally wrecked some of the plants... sux balls but anyway I press on, I just hope I get a female of each.

So now I am down to:
2 - Trainwreck x SSH
2 - Rosetta Stone
3 - Fiesta mix

and the 2 Herrajuana clones but those are fine.

I forgot how slow growing under florescents can be... they are growing though. I decided to crack 5 more Trainwreck x Super Silver Haze - just a update pic.

Damn - I got sick of the slowness of soil and floros...

I stepped into the unknown world of growing to me.. the Darkside some might say... I added some CFLs... DUN DUN DUN.

So I added some 26watt 6500k CFLs to speed things up a bit. I couldn't find anything higher at my local stops other than straight up T5s with hoods and all. I did find some 42watt CFLs.. but they were the wrong kelvin range imo.

so some are almost ready for cloning.. and the new ones are all sprouting up.

Some update pics - I started cloning on some of them so I can throw the clones into flower so make sure of sex. Damn soil and floros are slow....

Still vegging these out.. so far 3 are showing female for sure, the rest unknown. The clones are almost ready to go to 12/12 so I can make sure what's female and what is male.
