The Don Knotz and Balochistan Red stacking up nicely and showing some good resin coverage and some pretty colors. Hoping the weather holds out for a couple more weeks, trying to keep the bud-rot and grasshoppers at bay.

I lay the weed block down then place the box down 4x4- 2x6 Then cut out weed block in the box. I dig these out 3 ft down an replace the soil each yr.Most yrs i would have a thick mulch of straw but been to wet this yr to use mulch.

Thanks! Trying to avoid ground contact next season to eliminate some possibilities of my leaf septoria ive been dealing with for 2 seasons.
Big fabric pots is the way next year. Watering pots suck though.

Been squabbling powdery mildew on my pumpkins surrounding my greenhouses. None to speak of on the space tomatoes yet(fingers crossed). We’re supposed to be getting some rain here soon. Hopefully I can keep pm out of the greenhouses. Also haven’t seen any budworms since hanging trichogramma egg cards every 2-3weeks. Only sprayed spinosad once prior to the initial application of the wasps. This seasons hasn’t been bad at all other than the lower than usual flower yield due to seeds. I’ll be stocked up on seeds for sure . And so will my sons apparently haha. A little pollen goes a looong ways lol.IMG_7166.jpegIMG_7165.jpegIMG_7164.jpegIMG_7163.jpegIMG_7162.jpegIMG_7161.jpegIMG_7160.jpegIMG_7157.jpegIMG_7158.jpegIMG_7159.jpeg

In the PNW the 2” of rain this week finally broke. Have some decent weather for a few days and then 70 next week. I am chasing PM though and it’s stressing me out! I have use citric acid and now using copper fungicide which seems to be working better. I still have a month if I can make it?! Anything else I need to be doing? Tips, tricks? Thank god I built the cover eeven though I almost lost it in the winds

If you have them on a drip system they work great, Mine go 5 / 10 min per day depending on the conditions. When I was trying to water with a hose it was a pain.

I'll post some pics, pretty simple, some 1/2" black tubing, a timer that attaches to the faucet, and some emitters. You'll prob invest approx. $100 to get setup for the 12 containers. I also have a valve at each pot so you can cut the water off after harvest or whenever. I know when I was hand watering its a pain to get the pot evenly moist.

I made my own watering rings from the same 1/2 tubing, it will bend into a circle without kinking as long as its not too tight diameter. Each ring has 4 of the drip emitters, these are able to be adjusted to control the flow, also they come apart so can be cleaned if they become plugged. Both ends of the ring go into a T fitting, it has a short piece of tube that goes into an L, that runs down the side with a valve, then into the main supply. Timer hooked to the hose bib.

I sound like a broken record, but Zerotol is a life saver for PM control and you can use it up to the moment of harvest, no residue is left on the buds because it is mostly hydrogen peroxide. https://www.seedworldusa.com/products/zerotol-hc-algaecide-1-gal?currency=USD&variant=30319206727778&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Google Shopping&gad=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw3oqoBhAjEiwA_UaLtpDhlf5_zJ59B3oX8tqEdtFZ_xVNGgqaO7w6JBm3KBxyG_45gp-adBoC0iAQAvD_BwE

What a brutal summer. After everything else, I'm getting gale force winds from the SE for the third day running. Already broke a branch off a plant and has three more leaning. I tried to stake one straight but the wind is to much for the stake support. Bad thing is, it's sativa and needs more time. I may be chopping early if this wind keeps up. After everything else this summer, it's just another kick in the balls.
