I wasn't sure where to post this question.

I have a window in my grow area that was covered by panda film, but yesterday I sliced the film and opened the window for ventilation during the day, but forgot to seal the flap before lights out. And when the sun came up this morning, quite a bit of light came in for about an hour and a half. This happened three hours before lights were due to come on.

Have I ruined everything?

it might stress a tiny bit but if you have good genetics they will be okay. remember they are weeds. if you dont kill them they will grow buds. how big is up to your lights ferts ect. that is why we have timers and they make zippers you can use. i have 1 into the room i use and still have a hang over cover also so no light gets in period. and i also have my lights on when the sun is out right now.

I think I would have been less worried about it if it weren't actual sunlight. But I feel better now, haha!

I don't really know about the genetics. They are the offspring of some plants I grew outdoors last summer from bagseed. I guess time will tell for sure. Those zippers seem cool. Might have to order some o' them soon.

My lights run 24/7
I manually rotate crops into a dark room every 12hrs...yes I need to work out a way to get that automated

My point though..unless you have bad genetics nothing will come of it

I was considering doing that with my plants, but concluded that it would become too much hassle and I'd probably screw it up.

I find it to suit my needs.. it makes better use of your lights/you don't need as many..I run perpetually, It allows me to stagger the range of growth easier.. I grow open and the light farther away is great for clones or revegging, just don't put those in the dark room.. I also feel its not as suspicious as an 18/6,20/4 or 12/12 to the elec companies..it is a hassle, I can't really take trips and I have to be home morning and night to mess with them. But they really aren't too sensitive , and I pump out flower running day and night..

veg time 24-18 hrs lights on can mix it a bit. flower time 8-14 lights on can mix it a bit. example your plants are exposed to allot of heat from your lights and its summer and your ac is on max in your house you can do 10hrs of lights on to help with the heat. 12/12 is just a number. in fact for the last 2 weeks of harvest dropping lights down 1 hr each week is a good thing. they get allot stickier and make more thc.

Some good info. Thanks! If I decrease hours of light, should I turn them off sooner, or turn them on later? Or does it matter?
