Putting together a 2x2x4 box

inside painted white

3 40w clfs

2 4" fans one that blows in and one that blow out

putting 2 10 inch pots in and just trying to get feedback on weather theres any tips out there for anything really, going with a 20-4 light cycle until flowering, waiting until about an inch of the top layer of soil is dry until watering, moving the fans manually as much as possible because i hear constant air flow to the same spot is bad, feedback on what im doing right and what im doing wrong is well appreciated, thank!

If you don't have much or any experience growing the best advice I or anyone really could give you is to get a grow guide, I recommend "Growing Elite Marijuana" by Ryan Riley, very comprehensive and well written guide (-->CLICK HERE>--), however since your using CFL's I would also suggest you check out "Buds For Less CFL Book" by SeeMoreBuds (-->CLICK HERE<--) There are many, MANY other grow guides and grow bibles to choose from these are just a couple of the better ones IMHO. As for watering you want to wait until the soil is almost completely dry, watering when only the top inch is dry is too soon in my and many others opinion, if the roots stay wet too long they can rot and not only that but when the soil drys out the roots go searching for water expanding the root zone and that's what you want. Wait until the soil is almost completely dry where the bottom inch or so is barely moist and then weigh the pot, right that weight down and when your pots get to that weight you know its time to water. As for the fans, ideally you want an oscillating fan blowing back and forth over the plants, you want the air strong enough that it causes the leaves and stems to slightly flutter but not too strong that it stresses the plants, a stationary fan set too high can cause wind burn. I believe that covers everything you asked, if you want the best responses to your questions post as much details and pictures of your grow/setup as you can, the more information we have to work with the better we can help you, good luck and keep us posted.

That setup begs for T5s, say an 8-tube two-footer. better light fill and more of your vertical for growing. Jmo. cn

My grow cab to be (damn i miss my 2 rooms!) is a literal cabinet that was an extra from my house. Gutted it and the dimensions are 30" X 31" X a total of 4.5 feet of grow space. I have tested it out (seeds are germin) with the light on (400 MH & HPS) and a fan blowing in cool garage air and exhausting out and the temp stays right at 84 degrees. Its lined with Reflectix and i can attest, this stuff keeps heat in and is really reflective. I love this stuff! Far different than anything ive used before. I also tested it without the fan blowing cool garage air in and wanna know the temp? Well my thermometer tops out at 130 degrees F' and was at the top of it. So the air made/makes a huge difference.
