Yeah it's totally not ideal, I much prefer regular seeds over feminized personally... But you go with what you have I suppose... Regarding taste, it's really the strong lemon smell that I like. It's really super smelly... I'll branch out some day lol...

It's not just genetic dependent. If a female produces pollen to self-pollinate, then the seeds of that plant, will be 50/50 in most cases as to whether they grow properly, or turn hermied. You can have a 'strong' family genetic..everyone lives to be a hundred, but if suddenly 2 siblings or cousins in that family reproduce with each other..suddenly you have a possible genetic mutation, and the offspring will not be in the same kind of health as the rest of the 'properly' produced members of that family. Yes, some our great strains were produced by hermies, but not in one instance..it took years of breeding and cross-breeding back and forth to make said seed, stable.
Sorry bro, but 50/50 is not anywhere close to accurate. If you have a shitty hermie prone parent, you will have shitty hermie prone crosses. If you have a super hardy, hermie resistant parent that you have to stress the living hell out of, or use chemicals to force to reverse, it is going to have hermie resistant offspring.

Listen man, I have grown literally thousands of regulars and thousands of fems. My hermie ratios is about the same with both regulars and females which amounts to not often since I don't stress my plants much. You are just as likely to run into hermies in regs as you are in fems. Anyone telling you differently has some kind of axe to grind.

Good to hear. I can only go off my own experience which is limited, but I've grown at least ten different strains from bag seed, and only this one strain hermies... I may find a seed or two here or there, but nothing that ruins a crop... Yeah the seeds I bought online are better, but maybe I just got some good bags too I don't know ha ha. My friend had been saving seeds out of bags for like over five years and I took them to grow some out just for the heck of it... Most of them are just fairly generic strains, but a couple like this lemon one stand out... And some other one that has some smell I just can't seem to identify like sandalwood maybe or something... IDK, I do it for medicine and for fun...
