Only one cotyledon

My Maui waui seed popped with only 1 cotyledon..will it still produce.. It's under two one hundred watt cfls for the moment..will it still grow healthy or am I doomed?

I wouldn't know, but I'd guess it will be ok

does it have any other leaves, and does it have a growth center?

It only has dat last cotyledon which is bending...I planted her on Friday so it's been like 3 days

If you can get one true leaf going you should be ok. A cotyledons only purpose is to store enough food to get the sprout above ground and start a set of leaves.

i recently had one of these but it never developed any true leaves. had to cull it after a week the root was maybe 2 inches long.

Yep, I broke a head off and was left with one cotyledon, I let it grow for over a week, all it did was grow that one leaf bigger and bigger... kind of amusing actually, I almost kept it going for novelty...

itll be fine. ive had a plant grow with just one before, and she turned out great. some pictures would be nice to see if it has an apical meristem.

My current plant started with one cot. It will take alot longer than if it had two. Alot longer. But eventually it will be just fine.

I bet ya its two. It probably still has the ''skin'' on it from the seed husk making it look like only one. See if it will come off or you could peel it off DELICATELY. If you peel mist it first with water, it softens it up. Or I could be mistaken. Have any pics?
