Only harvest the largest buds ?


Love this site , between this site and U-tube I am learning a lot ,I’m not a grower yet but will be soon I hope . When I watch people doing a harvest on U-tube I see real big buds at the top and then lots and lots of smaller buds , if only the big buds were removed would those small buds keep growing and become nice big buds ? When I decided to become a grower I was only thinking about growing my own , but I am starting to see the advantage of having one or two patients , if you have a patient how many ounces are you obligated to furnish them each month ?

I say harvest it all at once. specially with plant numbers being a big factor. You are obligated to what you and your patient agree upon.

I do see that everyone does it all at once , I see what you mean about the plant count , I was reading some posts that sounded like the plants they were growing belonged to the patient’s , I hope you don’t get tired of answering my questions , I’m sure some of them sound dumb , most people think about things and come up with ideas either in the AM or PM with me it either the AM ( after medication ) or BM ( before medication) and yes my thinking after the medication gets a little far out , every once in a while I do get a good idea , I ask the questions so as to get rid of the bad ideas so when I finally start growing I won’t waste a lot of time pissing in the wind .

I usually harvest all at once but this last time I left the lower half of the plant and in just a couple weeks all the buds at least doubled in size and ripened up. :)

thats nice to know , because if they were still on the plant they could not be counted as part of the two and half ounce limit , but I see what gladstoned is saying the plant limit , would make it best to get rid of the whole plant . but it is good to know it could be done that way .

I think it's wrong to be going and knocking on random doors for anything. When I go out into the world, I expect to be bombarded with bullshit, but I do not like people approaching my home. I believe in God, I believe Jesus died for my sins, still don't want to bullshit with some random stranger at my house about it. I believe in the medical benefits of cannabis too, don't want some strange fucker knocking on my door about it though. ----

when I was young those people would come around like they do today , it would aggravate Dad , so one day Dad came home from work ( he worked in a toy factory ) he had made a door bell and below the button it said IF YOU KNOW US KNOCK ON THE DOOR _OTHERWISE RING THE BELL , well Dad had it made so that if you pushed on the button a needle was in the center and it would stick you in the finger , of course I was the first to push it , it would draw blood . Mom would not let him put it up , afraid we would get sued but I thought it was cool .

That would work putting up a broken door bell with that sign also. lol. Getting stuck by dirty needle is a nightmare these days.

Dude. Read a book, or a how to thread. All of these things are discussed. You don't have to make a thread for every question you have. The answers are out there already for you. You just have to make a small effort to find them. Seriously. And why do you specifically post in the Michigan medical forum if you are in Florida?

I post in the MI section because that is where I want to move to and grow my own MM and I want to find out as much as I can about it , most of the questions are about things that I don’t see anywhere else . And I guess part of it is being 70 plus years old , sick most of the time and not having a hell of a lot to do except envy you guys that seem to have a cool life .

And Medical/420 , no I am NOT a cop , in fact that’s why many of my questions are about limits and such , I want to make RSO and still stay within the law .

its cool man. I would caution you against the free stuff til you got your set up worked out and some experience under your belt. Here is why: once you agree to give somebody something (or take donations/sell for that metter) then you're now obligated to them first and aboved yourself and your needs as I see it. this could be bad for you as in mites, mold, bad harvest, heat issues, herms etc. now you got to pick out seeds from buds for patients or worse go get them some from somewhere at your cost while you wait out the next go around for yourself. in the end until you're dialed in you're risking your own med supply for theirs should something go wrong and lots of somethings can go wrong. while its just you depending on you, that's the time to work out bugs and make mistakes. with your plant count of 12 and 2.5 oz you probably will run into overages if you're doing really well and that might be the signal to get patients. dont' sign people up with just blind ambition though, it could be a problem for you later on. RSO is a big consumer of product, I'd suggest really...REALLY big plants to make that stuff. just $0.02 from a random cat on the internet with a cool ass screen name.

My wife and I would both be able to get MM cards because of our health problems , that would give us 24 plants , I’m thinking with green house growing plus only harvesting the large buds instead of the whole plant it would be plenty of RSO and leftovers could be smoked and as you said later pick up a patient or two . Sound workable ?

Medical/420 All the pharmacy's and most doctors are drug dealers and I’m finding out the end results are bad using their drugs , at least with our MM laws we have access to MM which only have an up side , no harm side

Harvest the whole plant, then place a new one where the old one was. Churn and burn that real estate for more RSO.

HomeLessBeans , You sound like Rick himself , there are not many people that would do that . I would check the prices of a gram in Calif and could see the only way out was for us was to grow our own , when Montel Williams opened his place in Sacramento I thought just maybe I would see prices a person could afford but he was at about $17 a gram . I will be up there and growing one way or another ,
