One candle = 1/4 lb co2 per 12 hours

Hey Piratemccall,

I read through one of your other threads about: CO2 enrichment, your environment, goals, reservations about CO2, refrigeration/cooling, and ideas surrounding the whole endeavor. I have delved into solving similar problems and I have similar goals. If my understanding is correct, you would like an optimal environment without breaking your back or wallet. If I may, a few suggestions and possible solutions.
I use Inkbird temperature and humidity controllers. Here is the basic description. These can be located on Amazon or Ebay, etc.
Inkbird Combo Set Humidity Controller IHC200 + Temperature Controller ITC308, ITC306T, ITC310T
These are about $80.
I like these short cycle timers; they go for about $15.
NEARPOW - Timer Outlet, Nearpow Multifunctional Infinite Cycle Programmable Plug-in Digital Timer Switch With 3-prong Outlet for Appliances, Energy-saving Timer, 15A/1800W

Lastly, a 20lb Aluminum CO2 tank, about $120 delivered, but not filled. Filling - about $20 every 3-4 weeks, depending on your usage. (I grabbed two for convenience)
Luxfer = New 20 lb Aluminum CO2 Cylinder with Handle and New CGA320 Valve

and,

VIVOSUN Hydroponics CO2 Regulator Emitter System with Solenoid Valve Flowmeter for Grow Room Grow Tent Green House Aquarium,

about $40.

- SO, after about $300 invested, I set the timer to blast CO2 for ~ 5 seconds every few minutes. You can play with the ppm's/timing for your tent. I have a 10'x10' tent. If you want to know exactly, grab a CO2 meter. Here is a link to one model that I have owned, about $100:
Hydrofarm - Autopilot Desktop CO2 Monitor & Data Logger

You can plug the Solenoid into the timer, the timer into either or both the thermostat or humidity controller to dispense your CO2, or you could use the humidity controller to regulate your exhaust fan, etc. Dispense the CO2 only during light hours, or create a predawn bolus. I think you will find that you can customize your environment to your needs with a setup like this without the need for additional cooling.
I hope this helps,
- ZXC

Hey man, I appreciate it, but I think all I've written about co2, I get what the outputs are. They're all fine as far as I'm concerned, I didn't know you had to pick sides. I like candles, I burn them in a lot of rooms, not just grown room. And my grow room has a book shelf, couch, zen garden, other plants besides cannabis, and candles. I have Inkbird temp an humidity controllers connected to heaters, exhaust, ambient fan, dehumidifier and humidifier. I can control the weather like Zeus. This is not a "cheap out" plan. Considering a paraffin candle is 85% carbon and one of the most concentrated sources of co2 on planet earth, it's a melding of form and function for those who appreciate both. And a guy joked "what, you get candles delivered to your house?" Yes. It's awesome, comes in little box of 85% carbon/15% hydrogen, unlike having to go out and fill a tank.. I would use a tank, if the candles weren't producing 1lb of co2 a day, delivered to my door, and paired so well with my Shiva statue, I would totally get a plain silver tank and drive down to the welding station every two weeks. .. :)

Cool, I like your style. No sides taken or lines drawn here, just information and sharing my experiences. You know, contribution to the knowledge collective without bias or judgement. Let me know if there is a quandary I may have puzzled upon that may assist you.
Until then, peace and love,

You missed my point. Nobody cares if you use a candle to add CO2 or burn your house down. I can afford the 5 bucks to exchange my 20 lb'er so I do that instead.

12 page thread to state the obvious: a candle, when burning, creates CO2. riveting...

No man, that's what it's about. I think like me you are not worried about the "safety issues" of a latern, which I think you would agree a co2 generator is simply a mechanical lantern. With that in mind, as long as you don't think you'll burn your house down, the only advantage I give to tanks and burners are slightly cheaper co2 by the gram. Virtually everything else favors candles. At least in my situation. If you have a mylar tent you pop your head in, use a tank, but candles would still work great... But I'm trying to have a garden of eden :D

You're totally right, it is obvious and should have been a simple explanation and/or discussion. Except a few trolls felt the need to shed every light of ignorance there is regarding a candle. It was funny in the beginning, and then just amazing. If it's "d'uh", then you admit it's been simple reason in the face of unscientific misinformation. But I already listed everything you have said on the issue, which is squat. So, what? Now your position it's just obvious candles are great co2? Nah, that's the position you've backed into. It's already proven through your complete transcript that you have nothing to say.

Here's a Moroccan Mega Big Bud Co2 Blaster 6. It comes with a $50 Advanced Nutrients giftcard...You know how the nation of Morocco came to be? How it came to be filled with Moroccans?.. They didn't burn their houses down. You shouldn't go to Morocco, it'd be scary.

You have no argument. Do you even know what is anymore? Other than a vague "everyone knows only an idiot would light a candle, just cuz. Burn down house." That is literally one of the dumbest arguments a person can make. Humanity cracked candle technology a long time ago. You see it implemented today in what you call a "co2 burner"
ignored. cuz you're right, i have no argument, you're retarded. i don't argue with idiots. hope you have no kids, poisoning the gene pool happens too much already. the law shouldn't allow dumbfucks to reproduce.

No argument, 7th grade level insults. If nothing else, you're consistent.

A thought struck me regarding candles.

Never mind the CO² output, would burning citronella candles be an effective means of repelling assorted insects which we don't want near our plants?

Im willing to play devils advocate.
Im picturing steel ammo boxes suspended over the canopy containing burning candles. Holes drilled so the co2 can spill onto the area.

My honest concerns would be.
Constantly buying and disposing of candles. Or i guess if you never get pussy you could pour and recycle your own.

Next i have no idea if candle wax could possibly ignite and cause a much larger fire. It must have a flash point
And having multi candles in my steel box could reach this?

Im still not sure how multi candles would effect heat. Would it help or cause me to run ac more.

Would the boost be worth the hassle and extra cooling.
These would be my legit concerns.

Wax smell also but i guess you could just run it in the veg room
Not gettin pussy? I wouldnt have the stable of hoes i got now if not more for my vast knowledge of candle pouring and recycling!! I got a joke about dippin my wick too but im way too fuckin high!!
