One big led vs. multiple smaller led

Hello all growers,

I am looking into light setups and was looking for recommendations. I have a variety of different lights. Was wondering if multiple 200 watt led in a 4x4 is better than one higher wattage led. I have a 360 watt cob bar style , an advanced platinum p300, and a 400 watt HPS. Was thinking about buying one more p300. One 4x4 tent with the cob and a p300 the other 4x4 with the hos and a p300. What are your thoughts.

Right? That's what I was thinking. Have done some research on alot of light with the par coverage. The edges suck. The advanced platinum p300 is a high quality light that puts out over 1000 ppfd . That's about what I would like to achieve over the canopy. I am not ready to blast CO2 at the moment that the high power LEDs needs. Do 4 200s equal one 800 watt for penetration?

3 130 watt boards in a 2 1/2 x 5 tent with an additional small supplement at times, multiple lights can be versatile.

Multiple lights gives more versatility as you can raise or lower lights instead of plants and you can add/remove light easily if necessary just to name a couple things.
Plus, if a light dies on you, you'll still have light!
If one of my lights quits, I lose 100w for up to a week and it'll only cost ~$80 to replace.

Personally and from witnessing the results I would run a combination of LED and HID for flower. In fact some of the best bud in every way came from a grow using LED, HID and CMH.

My last grow with just the 360 cob bar light produced high quality beautiful buds. They were dense but lacked the weight. Grown in nature's living soil mixed with Coco loco as the base. This round I'm going to add in the extra light from the p300 also hoping to add a lil more weight.
