two sixes is great i will show a pic but is rather $$$ so two four may fit your pocket alittle better but diff two 4's hands down

I would also skip to a single 1000. 5' tall plants require the higher penetration a single 1000w light can give and the yield will be incredible. That's how you grow colas bigger than your arms. If you can afford two 400's a single 1000 is in your range.

Kingkush your grow looks great but I see room for improvement. You would also benefit from 1000 or two of them. Your plants are tall and more penetration is key. Each leaf light passes through takes away 15% of the light going to a leaf below it, and so on and so forth. Look how little light penetration you are getting, more intensity means longer fatter colas and not so much wasted area on the bottom. Also, not trying to nitpick but that space all around your grow, do you leave it that way? You should have it more closed in with reflective material closer to the light, just hang a curtain of mylar if nothing else. (Sorry, you are doing great as is and obviously know what you're doing I'm just saying it may not be the best example to grow by.) You would really up your yield but maybe you already grow more than you care about...

Well let me comment on that real quick. First off those pics with the 4x4 and the 2 600's aren't his. I ran across this a little ago. The only reason those plants are so big is veg got moved into this room and they were vegged for about 4 months longer then usual. I ran 1ks to start and loved the shit out of them. 600's are a lot more manageable with the heat down here for multi lights without AC on top of the 400 and t5's for veg. Still not getting above 85 in the dead of summer with 100+ degree weather. I like the open space and really havent seen much yield increase with the reflectix surrounding it vs the temp overall. Very simple setup as far as venting is concerned.

But as far as the original question is concerned 2 400's over 1 600 any day. 2 light points is always better then one in my opinion especially with the overlap.

quick question bother anyone this site is in Cali?
