ONE 1000w HPS mag ballast powering TWO 600w HPS'S?

A typical 1000w ballast draws 1100 watts, while a 600w ballast draws about 680. Basically yea you can use that of you want to cover more space with one ballast, but it's not going to power the bulbs to their potential so you won't see any benefit in light output using 2x600 over the single 1000. But you'll be able to cover for sq ft by spreading the 1000w out. I'd estimate 65-70k lumens per 600w bulb @ 500w each.

ummm... so if you use the splitter, the 600w will not be giving the full lumens in its potential???

thats kinda what iam wantin to do spread it out and 65 70k lumens per bulb thats still 130 140k lumens per my whole area just spread out. Isnt a 1000w bulb 135 145k lumens something like that right?
What about igniting both bulbs will they both fire up without having to buy nothing else?
