On the search for a Roor...

Hey guys, I'm going to be in Amsterdam in about a month.
I'm planning on buying a Roor in their shop there.
I'm experienced with smoking bongs, and I know what I like/don't like.
Obviously I want the biggest bang for my buck, but I would prefer a larger bong over "extras" like percs, etc.
Any suggestions on the best size, thickness, or anything else?
How much should I bring (American dollar or Euros) for a nice piece of glass?

By the way, don't worry about me getting it back to the US. I will hold off on ripping it until it's safely in America.

Thanks!

I would actually order it and have it shipped to my front door. That way, it gets there in one piece, guaranteed, no import tax and no stares and questions. Or buy it in a shop and have them ship it.

i got my roor lil sister narcisus from edit.. it took like two months to get it to my door, but its pretty badass.. i got the 5mm thickness.. you can go up to a 7mm thickness, but i don't see why on earth you would need one that thick.. i could probably drop mine from about ten feet onto concrete, and only dent the concrete.. its solid as fawk.. its one of the beaker style that i liked better than the straight tube style..
all in all i think it ran my somewhere in the $500 range, shipped to my front door with the perc downstem and all.. roors aren't cheap, but they are nice for sure..

300 is about right, I would opt for a straight tube if there are percs on it. It is just a lot easier to hit. If you aren't getting percs, which I don't think the roors do, I would opt for a bigger beaker bottom. Maybe a 18 inch or so. It would be a nice bong to hit

If I was you while you're there take a trip to Germany, Roor is a German company right?

It's only 300 miles out of the way. I'm sure there's a train you could take.

there are plenty of trains to take.. i took the train from aachen in germany to amsterdam.. it was only around a five hour ride, and was simply awesome... the train service in europe rocks.

You will find buying through a high street shop or online CHEAPER than direct from Roor.
Online retailers like edit etc also have a far greater selection than Roor directly as they order in a range of custom pieces which maybe exclusive to them.
Take alook at the edit site and then take a look at the Roor online shop and you'll see what I mean.
Edit have a good rewaerds scheme too. Bought my Icemaster and a few extra's from them and with the rewards points I gained I managed to buy a selection of seeds from them also. BONUS :)

just look online at roor.de and you can see their prices, and you can even custom it to exactly what you want. This is how I'll be getting mine, flame polished logo, roor amsterdam marble, colored ice notches, crown on mouthpiece that matches your bowl as well, and a diffused downstem. I know I have a few more things I want on mine, but there are so many different options you can basically get the roor of your dreams
