im 11 day into this grow beginning from germination (bagseed) they are presently under 4 65 watt cfls. I have a 400watt hps/mh coming in the mail as we speak. I wish i could show pics but do not have the capibilities to do so as of yet but will in the near future. I will try to describe the best as possible..this is my first indoor grow but i ahve grown for years outside. I am growing in soil with 2.5 gal pots..
heres whats going on...11 days and they are now starting to grow there 2nd set of leaves with the 3 leaves on them ...on two of them the set of leaves coming in look like they are purpleish/brown looking and look really kinda sickly. really skinny leaves and the first set of leaves look brittle like and are kindof changing form like curling on the sides of the leaves ( i wish i could show u all) the temp is running about 77 and 72 at night....I misted them, and there is no nuts being used now...smoke on ....... peace

when you say the leaves are curling, which way- up or down?

how to the stems/branches look on the plant, what color are they

I would really say they are curling..they are more live .....frizzy and wrinkled. The color of the stems are like a deep purple/blackish. I have 14 and its doing it to two of them right now.....and yes I know pics would be GREAT but I dont have the means right now..sry..so what do u think..smoke on.peace

hm, well a couple more questions. and even if a friend or someone with a camera cell phone! get something! but i understand, im really lazy with my pics and i have them uploaded already.

some basic stuff- have you checked he pH? what are you keepign it at?

i ask about the curling because commoon defiencies, Mg and K , show curling . Leaves curl up with Mg defic. and down with K. the dark stems can be an indicator. But the color of your leaves doesnt really correlate with these issues.

Id suggest checking out the Grow FAQ on here, in the plant problems. (if you havent already) because you know the symptoms the best and can kind of look around for it.

but i will be happy to keep trying to help as im sure all members on here are.

let me know about the ph and well keep working at this!

ok so ive thought about your description and im thinking we might have a Phosphorus deficiency here.

with P defic. the leaves tend to be really dark, almost purple with dark blotches.

do some research to see if you can find some pics, and see if your plants look like that.

if this is the case, for starters, you will want your soil pH to be about 5.5-6.5.
