OMR's Custom/diy Supercloset, 3x hlg, autopot, ~stealth grow

Hi all!

Just started growing recently and wanted to keep a journal of it and maybe get some help when the need arises!

I had started another journal for this grow but it was kinda sloppy and I wanted it to be cleaned up!

Grow equipment/enviroment:

Box: 2009 supercloset deluxe. 24" x 36" x 72" ( 400watt HPS and dwc hydro model). I gave the light to the grow shop near me.
Fun fact: the closet was for $200 on craigslist.

The box fits perfectly with 0 room to spare between the doors. The space going left to right is the same after doing some work inside the closet. I really lucked out in that respect!!

Lights: 3x hlg100 V2 on a custom 3/4" PC rack. 2@3k & 1@4k timer on loose 17/7 or 12/12 when the time comes.

Fun fact: I made the rack to big about 3 times!! ****! The lights have to be as close together as possible to move smoothly in the closet!



Ventilation: 2x 4" ac infinity inline fans. One for intake and one for exhaust. The intake is pulling air from underneath the house, through 4 pre filters, then a ~hepa filter, before it sends air into the bottom of the cabinet. The exhaust is pulling air through a carbon filter, above the lights and out of the cabinet.

Both have a muffler on the open end and the noise levels even at max are very tolerable! Same noise level as my desktop pc.

Still some improvements to be made with this.



Pots: autopot 4 pot 'easy to grow' system, 3.9 gal (partially filled), with 16 gallon res, that sits on the air filter box, outside the cabinet.

Medium: coco


Nutes: dynagro mostly but I am wondering what would be a good complement to dynagro's 'grow', for flowering stages. Also, I have been trying to follow dynagro's feeding schedual for recirculating hydro and it seems good so far.



Water: SJ tap water @250ppm, r/o'ed to 22ppm. Ph'ed to 5.7 from now on as I only hear of it rising in the coco, so, I figure start at the low end of the spectrum!



Plants: gg#4, sherbert, napaili pink, strawberry cheese cake, (all from dark heart nursery), and forbidden fruit, from harborside collective (unmarked in small pot).

Day 9 (today)


Everyone is welcome to post here about anything. If it's okay by riu, it's okay by me!

Any help, tips, advice and etc. Always welcome and appreciated!!

P.s. just turned on the autopot system today with 550ppm nutes 570ppm total.

I thought they were overwatered on the bottoms (under watered on top), and I wanted to see if the autopot agreed. It did not and now the plants have more water on the bottom.

No real response from the autopot drenching, which I think is okay, I was (and still am) worried the autopot may drowned them!

Really seems like they are happy the autopots are turned on. Lowered the ph from 5.9 back to 5.7, ppm 550. Only running the 4k light for now. Keep it a little closer than when 2 running and they seem to like this as well, starting to look more green and vibrant. Just need to keep things going in the right direction!

Seems to be improving still! And hopefully on autopilot now a little bit with the autopots running!

Also hooked up other fan controller so I can have them on their own settings and tidy up cables some more!



Wondering, would it be okay to dry in the bottom portion of this cabinet?

Also, ordered some seeds from attitude today. Mainly wanted to get some CBd, since it is not happening locally. Grabbed a couple other things as well.

Was wondering, when you order single seeds (mix and match), the seeds are still labeled right?

Day 16: gonna start 12/12 (one leaf on the napali pink is half the size of my cabinet!), tomorrow 24/0 on the lights the last couple days just because they have been outside during lights off.

Day 17 - day 1 flower

Light just came on from their first 12 hour nap and they are looking pretty happy!

Also picked up some new stuff today at the local grow shop! Added 3 tsp bloom today (of the recommend 15 tsp). Seems like to big a jump in ppm. Also topped off the res over the weekend. Ppm at 700 then at suggested feeding levels, minus the bloom which I am slowly adding in. I didnt know I was going to have bloom already!

Also resetting ph to 6.2ish. Dyna-gro says 6.0 to 6.5 for what I am doing and ph slowly rises in the res. So 6.2 it is for now!

Also, got the sunrise/sunset lights going now takes 2 hours to fully on or off. I thought they would enjoy that!

Going to get those girls started early eh.

Nice little cab and will be interesting to see how they do.

Just flipped mine to flower yesterday too so we can have a race to the finish!

Yeah, started earlier than I would hope to for a few reasons. Mostly because I'd like some trees.

Just to see how the setup works and any adjustments i would like to make before investing more time into a grow. Not to mention growing strains that peak my interest more. Not that I dislike any that I have. I thought my choices were more limited and still time wise, I think clones were the best option so I don't have to pay for trees much longer! Hopefully!! ...

Oh I got some seeds coming from the uk!

Day 2 flower. They just woke up again.

You getting all those seeds with the #1 after the name? How about the 3rd page? Some yummy strains in there.

4 - Sebring's Revenge hi-CBD from fem seed. A breeders fairly stable F4 or better
1 - AK47 originally from fem seed and this one is a reveg from the last grow. Canuk Seeds
1 - Dutch Kush from clone Buddy
1 - Hindu Kush " " Same Buddy
1 - Ayahuasca Purple. Clone as well. Same buddy again. Mainly kush.

Have to leave for BC near the end of Sept for a month so hope to have them all down and in the can before I go but may have to crop a few a bit early. Hate trimming!

I'm starting a few for my friend to put outside. The orange sherbert and the Maui wowie. Maybe another.

Haven't gotten an Acapulco Gold yet some how, would really like to grow that and some alaskan thunderfuck! Soon!

I wonder if the Acapulco and Maui are as good as they seemed back in the late 70s. Maybe they just seemed so good in comparison to the Mexican dirt pot that was everywhere back then.

I grew Maui from bagseed back in '78 but was my first grow that got buds so they were tiny compared to what grew on the island for sure. Had Thai Stick, Jamacian Red Hair and Mexi in the same 8 plant grow under shop lights. Friends were impressed at the time but would get laughed off the forum for them now. I've learned a lot since then.

That's awesome! And I hope so, as well have faith in my friend, to do the Maui and others good as they used to be.

This is my first grow that makes it all the way! If it makes it all the way!

2.5 weeks - day 3 on flower.

Rotated them all to grow back into the light. Gonna try and remeber to drop the shelf tomorrow morning before the lights go out. Shouldn't be a problem aside from actually dropping the shelf, which is a pain in any body part you can think of.

Do I have enough room in here?

Also considering cutting a hole in the shelf for better location on the intake coming up... not positive what I want to do with that yet..

Late day 4 flower. About to be lights off. Pulled some leaves where they were stacking on top of eachother and blocking to much lower growth. Raised up the light as well while they chill out from the defoliation

Day 5 flower, lights just came on a bit ago. The ladies started their morning off right with a little foliar spray. H2O2 plus a little bit of nutrients, not much.

If you're running dark heart you must be around a source for clones I have 2 dispensary sources clones one carries dark heart the other has www.kingklonebrand.com I'm running their blackjack now I've ran their candy land too , I've ran dark heart & purple city genetics as well I used to order seeds but not so much these days

Yeah. I got the dark hearts from airfield and the forbidden fruit from harborside. Not sure what nursery the harborside clones are from or if house brand but this is probably the only plant I will get from harborside or anywhere. I prefer seed but want to jumpstart getting some flowers so went with clones on the first run. I happen to have a set ready to flower as soon as the current ones finish.

Or just always have the cab on 12/12 and just pull and add plants as needed. Maybe a little tricky with auto pots though.
