alright i have been germinating a seed for about 3 days now, i only have MG soil with timed nutrient release, but it's about 6 months old, any ideas, this seed needs soil!!

uh...... yea, MG sucks but if you don't wanna dig soil out of your frozen-ass backyard just use it. Soil doesn't go bad. If it did, we'd have no trees 
Also, I assume the problem is the soil is "old" not that your seeds aren't germinating. Usually seeds will germinate within two days but it won't hurt to keep those seeds in that wet TowlieLand until they do.

Your mg soil should be good as long as it was inside and didn't get wet. 3 days is nothing iv had seeds go for like 2 weeks befor popin even longer since you just put it in soil do the ziplock bagy method next time
