Old Wives' Tales Die Hard

OK, Old wives tale #2.

Superthrive.

Most people have seen this product in stores and many others use it regularly. If you want to understand what it is and what it does do not read the packaging. The words on the packaging are funny but not helpful at all. If you've never looked at it, and you need a good laugh, give it a read. The active ingredients are B1 ( my favorite ) and 1-Napthyl acetic acid. NAA is a synthetic plant hormone and is considered a pesticide. Superthrive is considered an unregistered pesticide in several states and is banned from sale. As an ingredient in your fertilizer program it is dangerous because it will work systemically and so pollute your weed for a long time as the plant is growing.

Bad shit.

I expect to hear from people that will swear by it because granny used it or your favorite uncle with the magical green thumb went through gallons of this crap.

Again I say whatever.

BTW... I've got Girl Scout Cookies and you can't have any. lol

BB I do not save these links. Many were posted in other threads, here and elsewhere. I read them: to me they made sense. You might try googling The Lurker. I have some of his 411 in my RIU journal.

Leary: Listen to yourself. What you ask is both expensive and time consuming. To accomplish what? For me to get you to change. I don't think so. And even if I did this who else would go this this trouble just to show you, and/or hard-headed people like you? No offense, but you do resemble that remark

Now if I was going for a doctorate degree (and had funding), that would be different.

I'm simply trying to help others.
See now I've just stopped listening to you. You can't even do 2 grows under 2 different controlled methods? Then you have no business lecturing anyone on lighting cycles.
There's no expense there, beyond your standard grow. The hardest part would be remembering to take the pictures every few days as you were topping off nutrients.
Good try though, you almost had me convinced you were a rational, scientifically minded person.
Instead I find out you're just here to criticize, not to actually add to the conversation.

Shit or get off the pot.

A plant will grow non-stop if given the right spectrum and intensity.

Where it is cost effective is a personal thing and differs for everyone and their set up.

2 Different topics IMO
