Old HighTimes Magazines

I just saved a bunch of old HighTimes and HighLife magazines from getting thrown out, my step dad was cleaning out the tool shed and was gonna chunk them. (not in the best of shape) Most of them are from the late 70's early 80's.

I was getting a kick out of some of the ad's and articles like, "Pleasure drugs from the year 2000" they said we would have stuff like "aphrodisiac aspirin". There was an ad in several of the magazines for the "Toss & Toke" Frisbee. I've got a month or two of good reading on the can now.

:peace:

yah, i love the old high times issues.. there's this used mag store near me that i go to all of the time, and i made good friends with the owner, as soon as i saw his dreads, i knew that we would be tight, lol... i ended up buying my first grow lamp from him.. all of his high times magazines are always priced at $4.20, lol..
anyhoo's, he's got a big ole section of older magzines, with tons of older high times ones as well.. usually once a month or so i pick up an older one to read through for shits and giggles.
i even recently bought the hard back version of high times encyclopedia of psychedelics, which is taking me forever to get through as its full of killer info.. excellent resource book, even if it's a bit outdated..

That's pretty cool, the truck stop down here had a bunch of old true west magazines for sale for $2. Most of them were from the 60's, they looked like new except the pages were yellow.

same as the mags i'm talking about.. that, and old magazines always get that odd smell to them, kind of musky, like they've been in a damp basement for years, even if they haven't, lol.. just goes with the oldness i guess..
