Ok, So here are some pictures of 3 plants that i germinated a little over 3 weeks ago, 2 of them are AK48, and 1 is a random seed from nirvana. The entire time since they have sprouted i have kept them on an 18/6 schedule under my 400w MH light. Fan constant blowing in the cloest, with another fan bringing in fresh air. So the temperature doesnt usually get too hot in there. Im not sure what my PH has been but i only water them when the pots feel light and until they have a little runoff in the bottom. Now my question is why are my plants so small? And why is the 1 plant really yellow? I dont know what im doing wrong, The soil is scott's hyponex potting soil which i heard isnt that great but it wouldnt completely keep them from growing right?? I just feel frustrated because i see other peoples plants at 3 weeks and they are way bigger than mine. but heres some pics, please any info would be greatly appreciated. I also have fox farms trio nutrients on hand for when theyre ready too, i had already given a very light feeding to the tall 1 and the yellow 1 thats in the bigger pot. (i transplanted it to see if maybe that was why it stopped growing because the roots had hit the bottom of the first pot or something)

also i know its better to start out with CFL's but it should still grow pretty good with my light right??

How many times have you watered them in the 3 weeks? To me it looks like you should've started them in smaller containers, ie 16oz cups making watering a little less tricky, they don't need a whole lot of water for at least a couple weeks. If you've watered them more than once in the 3 weeks using those, the smaller containers, then you've either watered them wayyy too much or your temps are way too high

During the first couple weeks all the plants energy is used producing roots and with the plants being in containers of that size that's probably what they are still doing, unless you drowned them, either way I wouldn't water them until the containers are very light and almost bone dry.

Stop watering.

They are probably too wet. When I germ seeds, the seeds get watered in(the pot gets soaked), and then I don't water for probably the first 5 days usually. Maybe a week even before they get just a light watering.

Let your soil seem dry to you and then let it go another day. It makes for healthier roots which makes for better growth and healthier plants.

Good luck man. Peace.

my light is a 400w mh/hps i dont think its that.. but idk im thinkin that its the soil maybe, and so youre saying those smaller pots were too big to start them out in? and that helped cause the slower growth? cause theyre pretty much 3+ weeks old and that tiny.. so what is my best bet to do though? just get different soil and start them out in solo cups then move to the small pot?

They still have a chance need a lower light imo for seedling that young in my experience try a couple t10's and foliage feed them the will come right may not get them big colla's you would of but i certainly wouldn't scrap them

Back your lights up for a while like 20-22 inches away then don't water for a while let pot go almost dry. You should not be feeding them yet your cotyledon still is good so they are good on food. Also where is your perlite man that soil looks like it barley has any in it? Also go to walmart and get the 3 drop solution ph tester works great and really cheap gotta get your ph at 6-6.5. What kind of water are you giving it? If tap do you let it sit out for 48hrs? Last what are your temps? Did not see you mention it.
