In one of my previous threads, I mentioned that smell was going to be a problem being that I have a roommate about 25 feet away in the other room.

A member suggested I get northern lights since their odor isn't quite as bad. So i'm going with that.

Anothe suggested that if it is a small grow ( ie 3 or 4 plants ), that just a regular ionizer would work.

Now i'm no mechanical type person by no means. Just your average college student. I went to lowes.com and searched it and it brought up this Replacement HEPA Filter and Ionizer Now what the hell am i supposed to do with that? Does that go inside of a fan or something?

I'm lost. Does someone got a better suggestion because if I can't eliminate the smell, I might be fucked.

Ok, i suggested that an ionizer will work fine for 1 or 2 plants without problems....Heres a link to them on ebay and these work pretty good IONIC BALL AIR PURIFIER IONIZER CLEANER W BREEZER OZONE - eBay (item 220190020287 end time Jan-09-08 10:15:00 PST)
...Ionized air is also pretty good for plants and general grow room conditions...negatively charges air, kills mold etc spores/ stops smells/ dust/pollen etc

Because you stand a Great chance of being fucked if the smell leaks... YOU cant afford to use anything less than an activated carbon scrubber and fan..that way you can be safe in the knowledge that it WILL eliminate the even the tiniest smell of the NL....

alternatively, you could ask your housemate and if they say its a no-go, respectfully wait and do a guerilla grow...

I think you aught to build a carbon filter or buy one. Then you wouldn't have to worry about the smell.
