ok quick question for you guys flowerin with MH and HPS..

does placement of the MH vs HPS work better one way or the other? i basicly have a room in the shape of an L .. with 3 1000s .. ive been pullin off great harvests with a few strains that like lower light then most doo.. and still are nice dense buds and great yield.. but i was thinkin of replacing an 1000w hps with a MH to add to the spectrum.. because i dont know were i would put the bulb in the room otherwise i was thinking to use the one i show in the picture..

there in a huge cooltube on the left side with 2 1000s in 1 cooltube.. the other 1000 is in a XXXL hood .. i was just wondering if this would help or not? i

or should i use the mh 1000 ballast and bulb i have extra to flower otu a SOG and see how it goes with MH.?

I wouldn't mess with it, just stick with the HPS. If you really wanted to add more spectrum, they have for quite a bit more $$$ bulbs that are supposed to have more light spectrum. Haven't heard anything good or bad about them. I remember one time I did flower halfway with only MH bulbs by accident, and final yield was about 20% less than what I was used to.

From what I have read and researched it is better to use the MH as side lighting in flower so your setup doesn't sound ideal. If you hung a bare MH bulb vertically then that would probably help.

ya i just said fuck it and went out and grabbed another hps bulb lol.. i just need to move after this grow.. so i figured id turn my veg room into a flower room.. and with 1000w .. i should be able to get en xtra 2 lbs....
