OK For Heat Control or Not?

I have a 5'x7' grow area, and have been running a 1000 and a 600W HPS in there, but sometimes iot gets a little warm. In the summer, I can use some A/C, but not in winter. It's usually about 82* in the room without A/C, but sometimes it gets into the mid to upper 80*'s. Too hot.

I was thinking that I could just plug the 1,000w. ballast into this outlet which can be set to turn on and off at certain temperatures, so the room couldnt get too hot.

What do you guys think? Is this a good way to keep the heat down? Has anyone tried this, or similar?

There is no way I can add A/C. Even if I could, Im using enough power as it is, so I won't.

I wouldn't recommend shutting ur lights on/off for temp control. It's just no bueno.

Is there a way to pull cooler air from another part of the building? maybe a window u can install a dryer vent in and use an in line fan.

After it freezes outside I can add a 4" duct. The rest of the year it would just blow bugs and spores into the grow room

I would get a tiny portable stand alone AC unit that turns on when the temp rises, way better than turning your lights off, and less possibility of contamination.
