Ohio Sass!

I've been doing some vigorous fine print reading on Sassafras trees in Ohio. The Ohio forestry says its around the NE area mostly but I know you can find it up in the NW region around Toledo through Cbus, Athens, and Dayton. Does anyone know where the tree grows in the NW around Toledo? I'm lookin for seed. Help out a brother!

Why would you want to grow sassafras? You'll be dead by the time there is enough safrole to justify harvesting it.

Maybe the next generation will be able to isolate the safrole for a synth.
